It’s a flooded cave, a professional diver, which takes six hours to get back and forth.
And rescue teams need to be drugged.
18 people will be rescued.
This is the “Thai Sleeping Beauty Hole” rescue that shocked the world.
Legends and reality
June 23, is the birthday of a football player from the Wild Pigs team. That day, his parents had an early dinner and bought a nice cake waiting for him to come back.
In the afternoon, the teenagers were trained as usual. But after the training they did not come home.
The coach and other players made some money and bought snacks to give the boy an unforgettable birthday.
In June, in Thailand, the heat was so hot that sleeping in a beautiful hole was a rare summer haven. They decided to explore.
It’s not the first time they’ve come to sleep in a beautiful hole, except that before that they, like everyone else, stopped.
It’s the fourth largest cave in Thailand, 10,316 meters long, and few people can walk the whole way. The terrain is extremely complex, with heavy rains and rapid water accumulation in the caves.

The youths locked their bicycles in the hole and started this adventure with excitement. As for the warning signs from the hole saying “No backpackers entering during the rainy season”, they chose to ignore them.
Thailand, which is a tropical rainforest climate, has just entered the rainy season. In July, the sleeping beauty hole will be filled with water and the hole will be sealed. Now, the hole is a dry area.
Even though it was the heat of the sun, the storm surged.
The youths did not notice.
The more they go, the more they get. Everything in the hole that is dry, clear and unknown gives them an unprecedented stimulus.
By the time it was discovered that the water had spread behind them, it was too late.
At this point, excitement becomes fear. The way back turned into a river, and they could only go further.
As a result, the youths were completely deprived of contact with the outside world.
At night, the birthday boy did not return on time, and his parents began to feel uncomfortable.
Soon, more and more parents found something wrong and started to go out looking for their children.
They found a hole and watched a row of bicycles locked there, with a chilling intention to spread out.
The bike parked in the hole.
The holes were dark and water was strewn, and they could not enter, and they could only shout their children ‘ s names at the entrance.
They cry out to tear their hearts apart and respond to them, except in the cold rain.
The police will be here soon.
Heavy rains continue unabated and are already flooding, forcing out policemen, parents and other relief workers who try to get into the hole.
In such cases, only a professional team is available.
As a result, the Royal Thai Navy SEAL commando took over the search and rescue mission.
On 25 June 2018, the first members of the SEAL commando arrived at the scene (3rd day of detention).
The Royal Navy commando team would no doubt be able to solve the problem soon, if it were to be rescued in general seawater diving.
However, the dive is completely different from the dive in the sea, with many curved and forklift routes, often with narrow passages, like mazes; the water environment is dark and dangerous.
Upon enquiry, the Royal Navy found that all rescue measures had been rendered ineffective in the face of such a harsh environment. They have no access to the deeper part of the hole and the risk of death from drowning is too high.
The Royal Navy’s first search for relief failed.
Media reports and fermentation have led to an increase in the number of children trapped in the caves of ” boar” football, which has raised concerns in Thailand and around the world.
But even the Royal Navy commandos can’t do anything. Are there any more professional teams?
II. Despair of relief specialists
Heavy rains continue, time is precious, and every minute the danger increases by one point.
As a result, the Government of Thailand sent a request for international assistance to the United Kingdom Hollows Association, inviting legends from the global caves, Rick Stanton and John Volanthen.
On June 27th, Rick and John came to the rescue, and everyone was betting on them.
But they are not optimistic.
“We are under great pressure and we have great hopes. I’m sorry.
Rick and John are at the scene and will be diving soon.
Visibility in the hole is too low, the degree of turbidity, the degree of current heat, and the degree of complexity in the hole, and even the top expert is afraid.
The first time they entered the hole, they didn’t even swim far, and they returned.
The structure of the Sleeping Beauty Hole is T-shaped, and the Royal Thai Navy has set up a “Standpoint 3” inside the Hole. Position 3 is relatively large, with more space for rescue transit stations and a higher geographical location and more drylands.
It is extremely difficult for position 3 to move further into the hole, where ordinary rescue workers take great risks.
Position 3 became a watershed for rescue.
Rick and John, top experts, spent a lot of effort swimming to position 3.
They tried to swim deeper on several occasions, but the walls of the cave, the pipes, the fragments, and the unbridled darkness prevented them from doing so.
On several occasions, they discussed with the Royal Thai Navy options for further access to the caves and made several attempts, all of which failed.
Another professional rescue figure, Belgian Ben, also suffered setbacks.
Ben was a dive coach who had lived in Thailand for more than 20 years and had a lot of experience with the local hole.
He ran a dive school in Thailand and came to the scene with his own equipment when he heard that a young boar had been trapped. It was easy to figure out the situation now, knowing Thai.
Ben was later than the British top expert, and then dived and met Rick and John. Ben discussed the situation in the hole with them and expressed his views on the complexities of the hole. It was believed that there could be no progress in this rescue.
British experts share the view that no one in position III has yet gained further.
“I wonder if we still need to stay here? John says.
So, Rick and John, opt out. They turned around and left the scene.
In the view of the world’s top experts, this rescue was very dangerous and could even have serious rescue incidents.
The point is that they do not know if the teenagers are still alive, even if they are found, and it takes long distances to dive out of a hole, and they can hardly even swim and can be saved.
They’re desperate.
Even the world’s top experts give up. Is there any hope of rescue? The entire rescue team is in silence.
Do you really want to give up this rescue? Are you sure you’re not looking for boar teenagers? Wait till the rain stops and the water drains out?
At the same time, only the bodies of the teenagers could be seen.
They didn’t choose to back down.
Since the holes are full of water, can we mobilize a large number of pumps and drain all the water from the holes? In this way, young people can walk out of a hole without having to dive.
Soon, the large pumps were moved, and where did so much water come from? There is no drainage system near the hole to accommodate large quantities of water.
Finally, the water was drained onto a field and the whole agricultural land was flooded. The agricultural land is dominated by the lives of young wild boars.
“A child is more important than a farm, and food is no longer available to grow, but we can’t let the child be born again.” The owner said.
However, heavy rains and water surges and the efficiency of pumping will never keep pace with the amount of water accumulated by heavy rains.
Several large water pumps operate day and night, but they can only slightly reduce their rate of increase.
What else can I do?
III. CHECK AND HOPE
After the first integrated assessment, the SEAL commanding officer had to admit that there was little hope of finding the children.
To the dark hour.
However, the Royal Thai Navy did not give up, nor did many relief workers.
“The children are athletes, they are in good health, we believe the children are alive and we cannot give up our rescue.” The Commander of the Royal Thai Navy said to the soldiers.
The parents of the young boars were screaming in the hole.
“Son, go home.”
“Come on out, let’s go home.”
Following the departure of the British diver, rescue efforts continued in Ben and the Royal Thai Navy SEALs.
The SEALs were responsible for the continuous transport of oxygen tanks to position 3, which began a horrific “divide of death” from position 3.
Ben entered the hole with diving equipment and ropes.
The wiring is the golden principle of hole-diving, where the divers must be drawn by rope, the first of which is extremely dangerous, but also the most important step, and the first of which is a true hero.
There are many forklifts in the hole and many dead ends, many of which are narrow and often require equipment to be removed, to move forward and to push the equipment forward.
The most difficult place is the T-shaped fork in the beauty cave. It’s a narrow cave, 70 centimetres wide, and it’s hard to find the right path in the forkway, and it’s probably lost, gone and even touched death.
T A narrow passage through the font fork in the road, photo source: Archives
As a result of Ben’s efforts, many adventures were successfully passed through the T-shaped fork in order to find the right route to the deeper Patia beach.
The Patia beach is the highest, with about 3 km of diving distance from the hole, a pre-British cave diver and analysis by the Royal Thai Navy, where young boars are most likely to survive.
As far as possible, it was not until the end of the ropes it brought on it that it returned to position 3.
This was a major breakthrough, and earlier the hard point where none of the British cave-diving specialists had been achieved was breached under this effort.
This has greatly encouraged all those at the rescue base.
The hands of men
The international rescue team is on its way.
On June 28th (6th day of detention of wild boars), pilots of the 353rd Special Operations Unit of the United States Army and the 31st Rescue Squadron flew to Thailand.
On June 29, two teams of specialized Chinese specialists arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with one in charge of the cave rescue and the other in charge of the mountain rescue.
Australia has also sent SWAT rescue teams.
Japan, Russia and the United Kingdom have sent rescue teams to the mountains.
Sherman and a few other ex-seals also returned to the Sleeping Beauty Hole for rescue.
And volunteers from all over the world, thousands of people have heard about it.
The local people built their own cooking stoves at the entrance, set fires and prepare food, such as food, for rescue teams and volunteers, as well as for the families of young wild boars present.
And just after this and the Royal Thai Navy broke through position three again, leaving British cave dive experts Rick and John returned to the scene.
Perhaps it was news of the groundbreaking progress of Ben and the SEALs, and perhaps it was impossible to spare 13 lives, in any case two of the world ‘ s top cave divers or the choice to return to combat.
The Royal Thai Navy Commanders have also accepted their continued participation in the rescue, and given their specialization, the Commanders continue to arrange for Rick and John as core relief personnel.
The SEALs and the previous ones, which had made remarkable progress, cooperated with them.
But to reach the “Batya” beach, it will be difficult to dive at a very long distance, with a rugged and dangerous environment.
This time, will they accomplish this difficult task?
V. Another aspiration
At a time when relief efforts were under way, the Thai authorities had invited the Myanmar Monk, the Cuban Manchun, to visit.
Thailand is Buddhist.
There are local rumours that a long time ago the princess ran away with her husband, but after the King killed her beloved, the princess died with her hair.
After the Princess died, her blood turned into a river and her body into a peak. And the mountain was as if she lay down on her side, and her tummy was slightly raised, and she became a sleeping beauty hole.
Many villagers had a similar dream: the princess had asked them to sleep with her in the beauty’s caves, and the Myanmar Monk, the Cuban Monk, had come to see her.
The princess said that the monk, the Cuban Manchun, was born in Thailand and then went to Burma, where he was reborn many years ago, and that she waited so many years to spare the young wild boars.
People send this strange dream to social networking sites and spread it quickly.
They therefore hoped that Cuba would be able to resolve the disaster on the ground.
On 29 June, young wild boars disappeared for a week and Wenchun and his three disciples were invited to the rescue site. They do it outside the hole, finish it and go into the hole before coming out.
After doing so, the Monk gave an amazing prophecy: “The wild boars are alive, they’ll see them in a few days and they can be rescued.” But people will die.”
This prophecy adds great hope to the local Thai population, and expresses its great gratitude to the monks, as well as some of the chains left by the Cuban Manchun.
It is also strange that when the monks do so, even three days after the practice, it does not rain on the beautiful mountain.
Rain has stopped and the water level has fallen. The current is not so fast, and the visibility of the hole has increased.
The locals are more convinced of the “dreaming words.”
But what the High Monk says about death, will it become true?
VI. Live
In parallel with the rescue in the cave, the rescue in the mountains began. China has sent two relief teams, one of which is fully committed to the mountain rescue.
Mountain rescue is the search for a mountain outside the cave: is there a hole? Into the hole, can you find the approximate location of the trapped teenagers? Can a mountain enter the cave? Or does the cave have an exit link?
Map of Sleeping Beauty Mountain.
In the search, rescue workers have heard suspected holes in the mountains. They thought it was a call for help from the youths, but after several searches, nothing was done.
In accordance with Thailand’s planned mountain search strategy, China, the United States, Japan and Russian rescue teams are all looking for other holes in the mountains to connect to exports.
Not only are the holes complex, but also the mountains complex, the area close to the most famous “Golden Triangle” of the Thai-Myanmar border, where it is extremely dangerous to walk at night.
In a wave of searches, all the rescue workers were muddy, using machetes to open the road, grab the vines and climb up and down the small cliffs and steep slopes.
They forget how many times they fall, how many times they forget their wounds, how many times they are happy to see a hole, but eventually they find the holes dead.
Mountain search and rescue to find a hole in the country’s national geo-documentary, The Big Exploration of the Sea.
Then the sky began to rain again, and many days of search for the mountains were lost and they had to retreat.
There’s another way.
You might ask if you can find a location on the top of the mountain to connect to the Sleeping Beauty Cave, and then drill a well from the mountain, through the top of the mountain and through the cave, so that the children can climb out through the new tunnel.
The fact that local drilling teams have been sent up to the mountain to step up studies has been examined on many occasions, and that to drill wells, very deep dissolved rock is required, which is technically and temporally impossible.
It can only be declared a failure.
There’s no hope for a mountain rescue, but a hole.
With Rick and John back, and building on the breakthroughs made prior to this, a sophisticated research analysis was carried out.
At this time, the Sino-American, Thai and Australian dive teams have also grown in size, and we have formed the Sleeping Beauty Hole Deep International Rescue Group to carry out further rescue efforts.
On 1 July (9th day of the wild boar youth trapped), the Central American, Thai and Austro-Acao International Rescue Corps transported more than 100 cylinders to the cave, preparing to establish a gas bottle supply guarantee area at position 3 to provide air bottle security for cave divers and rescue young boars.
On 2 July, they transported more than 100 cylinders and even started collecting old cylinders across Thailand.
All is ready, and experts are now required to go further and advance to the beach.
The leading British divers, Rick, John, with Ben and some members of the SEALs, began their departure from position 3.
The beach was about 1.5 kilometres from position III and had previously been lined up, and they needed to find the attached route, on the basis of which they had had difficulty getting to the beach.
Rick and John have been at the front.
Finally, they managed to break through the layers and for the first time made it to Patia Beach. When their heads came out of the water and they were eager to search for the shadows of the people on the beach of Pattiya, their heart cooled.
Wild boar teenagers are not here.
Where are the children most likely to survive without trace? Everything seems to be in despair again.
After a short break, Rick and John moved forward through the Patia Beach.
Not far away. Surprised when they surfaced again.
The kids were sitting on the ramp. They haven’t seen the outside world for over 200 hours. When John’s headlights shined on the kids, they even felt so eccentric.
“How many of you?” John asked.
“Thirteen. An English-speaking teenager replied:
That’s great. Wild boars and young coaches are alive.
“Will you take us out today? I’m sorry.
“No, not today.” “We have to dive. We’ll come back.”
“What number can we leave? I’m sorry.
“I don’t know.”
“We’re hungry and cold.”
“I know.”
I don’t know.
John appreciated them and assured them that soon they would bring more.
This 13-year-old survived without food and water for 10 days.
At first they went into the hole with snacks, and then they finished the snacks, and the young coach taught them to meditate, to remain calm, to be in a state of “centered heart” and to drink water from the cave walls.
Under the guidance of their coaches, they also dig the cave walls on a rotational basis, and coaches continue to inspire the children to be rescued.
These methods were useful, at least they survived the rescue workers.
Soon, John returned to position 3, bringing news that the teenagers were alive and a note by the teenagers: “We are in great need of food, we eat nothing but water from the hole.”
The SEALs immediately sent a message to the outside world that young boars and coaches were all found and all were alive. The whole camp is boiling.
The most exciting thing is that the relatives of these teenagers have been anxiously looking forward to 10 days and suffering in their hearts for 10 days. And they cried with joy.
The video of John talking to the teenagers in the hole was posted online and the world was cheering.
That night, there was a flash of light at the outer rescue centre, and people kept smiling, hugging, and smiling even at the very serious commander of the Royal Thai Navy.
But Rick and John’s excitement quickly faded.
Their moods are complex: how can young people be brought out safely? This is a new challenge, which is virtually impossible in the present circumstances.
The abyss and death
At night, the rescue team held a combat meeting, and Rick and John told the Thai authorities that finding the children was only the most basic part of the story, and that the key was to bring them out safely.
They talked all night, but nothing.
On July 3, the young boars were trapped 11 days ago,
Rescue operations became rescue operations.
The children were trapped on the beach of Batiah 400 metres to Rio, about 1.5 kilometres from position III and 3 kilometres from the hole.
From the country’s geo-documentary The Rescue
Specialized divers take about six hours to get in and out.
The caves are dark, watery, rugged, narrow, poorly visible, and the children are not able to swim and dive, and they have been trapped for more than a decade, and muscles have begun to shrink and are not always stable.
In such cases, where professional divers have had to work hard to travel completely, and where unprofessional adults have been able to dive only at a very small distance, what will be done to these weak children in a state of extreme panic and lack of technology?
Obviously, it’s not possible to take the kids directly out of the hole.
It is the most important factor for rescue programmes to allow young people to avoid obstacles and stones in the dark and to overcome fear in their hearts.
The relief workers have expressed their views, but there is no perfect relief programme.
The safest and most conservative option: when the rainy season is over, the rain stops, the floods recede, the water is scattered in the hole and the young wild boars can walk out on their own.
But if the rainy season in Thailand lasts until October, it will take another three months, and food supplies, oxygen depletion, and human inputs are all the challenges.
I don’t know.
The Thai authorities were unable to resolve.
At the same time, the Thai authorities arranged for Dr. Baker, Chief Medical Officer of the Royal Thai Army, and other seal medical personnel to enter the hole to treat the children and to send a large quantity of food, water, medicine, oxygen bottles and warm clothing.
“The underwater environment is so bad that I’ve never had a cave dive before, and we ran out of oxygen for most of the oxygen bottle and came in. Dr. Baker said:
The rescue programme has been pending.
“If there’s a problem at the end, we’ll stay with the kids and live through the hard times.” The companions spoke with determination.
The parents of the young boars are in new suffering.
“We guarantee that the way to save the child is 100% safe. The Thai commander said:
At this point in time, leaving wild boar teenagers in the hole seems to be the best and most desperate option.
The young boars face a new “deep abyss”.
The oxygen concentration in the hole is only about 15 percent, and lower, the teenagers start to breathe like they’re at an altitude of 400-5,000 metres.
There is no better solution to the rescue, and the whole rescue team is in a state of anxiety and impatience, while the rescue of the death has pushed them into an even more depressing and desperate mood.
On 5 July, young wild boars were trapped on the 13th day, a former SEAL commandant, Sherman, who was in charge of delivering oxygen bottles to the hole, and his dive partner, with wet diving suits, planned to teach the children to dive.
On his way back, Shamán lost consciousness because of a lack of oxygen, and when his teammates found him, they immediately dragged him back to position 3 for immediate CPR. But it didn’t work, and they sent Sherman out for treatment.
In the early hours of 6 July, Sherman was declared dead and was 38 years old.
“Unfortunately, Sherman is dead, a bundle of wet submersibles is very buoyant, is a significant barrier to diving in the hole, consumes a great deal of energy, and on his way back he has exhausted his oxygen and died of lack of oxygen. “Richard explains.
Improper equipment, with little in-house experience, is the real cause of Sherman’s death.
Sherman’s death led the SEALs to decide to suspend the dive. Beyond position 3, SEALs have never infiltrated a hole.
The bad news followed: a rescue team truck, which was not familiar with the terrain during its journey, accidentally fell into the cliff, causing many serious injuries and no death.
Relief operations by national relief teams have also been suspended.
The rescue operation temporarily pressed the pause.
However, meteorological experts predict that a new storm will come, that the water level in the hole will become more uncontrolled and that young wild boars will enter a more dangerous situation.
Rescue, immediate.
VIII. PROGRAMME AND PRESSURE
“What can we do? “The US rescue commander is anxious to ask Rick and John.
“The children can’t dive out, we can’t. And Rick explains:
What if it’s possible?
However, after a comprehensive consideration, rescue workers were the only option to bring out the children’s caves — the dive rescue.
But how can children overcome fear?
If they were in a panic during the dive, they would not only harm themselves but also the rescuers who took him out.
Rick and John came up with a way to give the kids an anaesthesia and take them out of the hole in a “quiet” state.
Doctors who know anaesthesia and dive are key to rescue.
Rick immediately extended an invitation to Australian divers and anesthesiologist Harris.
Harris refused when he first got Rick’s message.
The next day, Rick and Harris spoke for a long time, knowing that he was the hope of the children to survive and that Harris was starting to shake.
Then Harris chose to come to the rescue site.
Dr. Harris went into the hole and saw the children.
“The children are small, and when I see them, I think of my children, and the children’s strong optimism makes me feel good.”
It’s time to make up your mind. Harris chose to take part in the anesthesia rescue program.
In a comprehensive assessment, Harris concluded that there could be three or four deaths, or even as many as five or six.
John and Rick told U.S. rescue commanders about this “anaesthesia rescue program.”
“I doubt it, but I believe in their ability. The American commander says he also predicts death.
The implementation of this programme will require the help of professionals.
John and Rick needed to invite a number of professional divers from the industry, some electricians, some climbers, some teammen, some rock climbers, but they all had a lot of experience.
The professional team was formed, but the Thai authorities had not yet made a determination.
“We will take no action if we are not prepared enough, or if we have any risk. The Thai commander said:
Weather predicts that heavy rains are about to begin and that the air in the caves is becoming increasingly cloudy, and that the rescue is in the string.
Rescue specialists and anaesthetists in Australia continue to develop an anaesthesia rescue programme.
They put pressure on the Thai authorities to leave without carrying out the rescue, and they did not have to stay on the scene.
In a state of emergency, the Thai government has arrived at a high level.
On the evening of 6 July, the 14th day the young wild boars were trapped, the internal Thai minister and the rescue team focused their discussions and the Minister of the Interior asked many questions.
“Why this sedative? I’m sorry.
“Why this dosage? I’m sorry.
“Do you have any rescue plans without diving?” I’m sorry.
I don’t know.
The rescue experts answered the questions.
That night, they talked about it late.
However, until the following morning, the rescue specialists were not authorized to do so, as usual.
Rick and John have developed more detailed rescue programmes, such as protective clothing for children, special masks for children, the location of children’s oxygen cylinders, face orientation, etc.
Rescue experts conduct large-scale exercises for the Thai authorities to rehearse their concepts and simulate as much as possible the rescue process.

The Thai authorities are aware that this is a rescue opportunity that has to be taken at risk.
On July 8th, at 2 a.m., the Thai Minister of the Interior approved the Anesthesia Rescue Program.
The programme was at high risk, and Australian diplomats had applied for diplomatic immunity for anaesthetist Harris to avoid the risk of prosecution by the Thai justice system in the event of a rescue error.
Thai authorities have also concluded risk agreements with the families of football teenagers.
The boys told the rescuers they were ready.
Rescue
On 8 July, the day of rescue was also the 16th day that wild boar teenagers were trapped.
Under the rescue programme, British divers, anesthesiologists, professional divers and SEALs are part of the rescue vanguard.
The vanguard team was responsible for entering the hole to the children ‘ s trapped areas, injecting anaesthesia and transporting young boars to position 3. The five members of the Chinese dive rescue team and other dive rescue personnel were responsible for transporting the teenagers from position 3 to the cave, where they were taken to hospital by medical personnel on an emergency basis.
T-passes are so narrow that it is extremely difficult for one person to cross with the child.
T-band channel chart. Source: Chinese daily newspaper, English.
It is simply impossible.
“This is the hardest, most dangerous and most risky thing I have ever done, not my personal safety, but my responsibility for the safety of others. John says.
Before entering the hole, Australian anaesthetist Harris trained members of the vanguard team in anaesthesia sedative injection, which required two shots per juvenile.
Upon completion of the first shot, rescue workers begin to transport juveniles, but during dives for hours, the tranquilizer will lapse over time and a second shot will be required during the delivery.
“Better hit the outside thigh, through the scuba, even if it hits the bone. Dr. Harris encouraged the pioneers to rescue the experts.
The pioneers practiced with needles to the mineral water bottle.
One shot, two shots, three shots… until you know how the needle works.
Allocating needles, drugs and waterproofing, the pioneers are on their way.
In the case of the rescue programme, they carried out a number of rehearsals to ensure that no problems were encountered before it was formally launched.
The rescue was to be carried out in batches, in three days, and took a long time and planned to reach around 4 people a day.
Beyond the hole, a barrier has long been put in place, with almost all but medical personnel, the media and others being driven away and the media being seen only from a distance.
On the third position, the force rescue personnel were assembled and they even prepared 15 body bags for the worst.
The rescue vanguards crossed the Patia beach to reach the children’s trapped areas.
Save who first? A little priority? High priority? Infirmity?
The teenagers themselves gave the answer.
They decided that the children from the farthest part of the family would go out, so that they could go all the way home to the parents of the other children.
Rick had also previously, at the request of the Thai authorities, brought the children into the bracelet left behind by the Myanmar monks, the parents of the young boars and Thais, who believed that it was a sign of hope and good luck for the children.
Now, the kids are wearing a chain of hands, and they’re on a miracle trip.
The first child was officially rescued and Dr. Baker gave him an anti-anxiety pill.
With the help of SEAL commandos, the child was put on a dive suit, brought a dive head and prepared an oxygen bottle, and Harris gave the first child an anti-fluorinated saliva to his leg (to prevent the children from drowning in their own saliva under anaesthesia) and a full-body anesthesia on another leg.
The first kid seemed relaxed. He trusted Dr. Harris.
After losing consciousness, another dive rescue specialist put a waterproof mask on him. His face was then pushed underwater and his hands were tied behind him, and he began to be transported.
The first child was transported 300 metres, and the rescue specialist took him out of the water and quickly detected the child’s vital signs.
The atmosphere was very tense, but the child’s fingers were moving and convulsed, and rescue workers were excited to see them because that meant that the child was still alive.
He gave the kid a second shot and the kid stopped convulsing.
The English cave diver, John, soon brought out his second child.
On the way, the kid appears to be breathing abnormally.
Following the rise of the surface, John was in a hurry to remove the mask from the child, who was better at breathing, but had a bad breath with the mask on.
For once, John held his child’s hand, and for a time, he collapsed.
“I’ve always been afraid of taking out a body, not a child. I’m sorry.
Fortunately, the child survived, and John carried him on.
And the fourth child brought by the English diver Rick is worse than the second.
In the hole, aid workers at one time felt that the child had stopped breathing.
The child was cold and stiff, and the rescue workers were quick to give the child an artificial respiration, and it was later that the child began to breathe and his heart was relaxed.
In the meantime, Rick and the rescue workers even thought it was the first dead child they took out.
For the sake of peace, Rick kept watching the child’s face continue to dive, and he had to see clearly that the child was alive.
For them, the hardest to get through is the T-word section, which must push the child, and then the rescue team grabs the child and follows it, which will soon reach position 3.
For the rescue workers of the vanguard, the buzzing sound of the water pump in position 3 is the dawn of hope.
Shortly after, the first child was successfully taken to position 3, where he was carried on a stretcher and released by the pioneer relief workers.
There are more than 200 people at the entrance to position 3, and they work together to transport the children to the entrance.
When the first young boar was removed, a round of applause was sounded and the child was taken to an ambulance for medical treatment.
Then the second, third and fourth wild boars were sent out of the sleeping beauty hole.
The first day of rescue missions four successfully completed and the fourth child was shipped out at night.
According to the number of ambulances, journalists from far away are reporting the number of unidentified “saved teenagers”.
The Thai commander also made public in a welcome manner: today’s rescue mission was a success and we finally saw the faces of young boars who had not met for a long time.
On 9 July, the second group of children was successfully delivered to the hole.
On July 10th, the young boars were trapped for 18 days and a group of children and coaches 5 were not rescued. The rains were on schedule. The members of the pioneer team would have discussed earlier and even considered whether to continue to risk saving lives.
“If we don’t get in the hole today, we’ll never get a chance tomorrow. “Someone said,
Finally, they reached agreement and insisted on a third series of rescues.
This secondary rescue of five people.
During the transport of one of the children, the rescue workers did not handle the new ropes, lost the wires and, at one point, caused him to lose his direction and swim to a strange hole.
Fortunately, the rescuers did not give up, resolutely took the children to explore their way out, and finally met other rescue workers and successfully transported the children to position 3.
10 July, at 18:47, the last child was sent out of the hole and onto the helicopter, which meant that the last child, including the coach, was safely released.
The world is celebrating this time.
The children are out, the rescue workers are not completely out of the hole.
Some others remain in position 3. At this moment, they are relaxed and happy.
British divers also returned to position 3, where they took photographs.
However, Dr. Baker and a SEAL medic have not returned to position 3, and they face a challenging cave dive.
Suddenly, a pumping pump in position No. 3 burst, sprayed water everywhere, strewn water quickly, and the water level in the hole surged.
Everyone, get out of the hole.
However, Dr. Baker and the Navy were delayed.
Everyone’s worried about them.
At last, Dr. Baker and the Thai Navy appeared and soon position 3 was filled with water.
They, by chance, went out of the hole.
The rescue operation was a real victory when the last person safely stepped out of the hole, where there was a thunderous applause.
On July 10th, the young boars disappeared 18 days later, this historic international rescue finally ended.
Follow-up
A few days after the children were rescued, the Sleeping Beauty Hole was completely flooded.
On 24 July, in a temple, rescued young boars were given a shaving ceremony, becoming small Shami in the temple, starting with a few days of a brief exercise, and rescued football coach became a monk for three months.
In this temple, they pray for Sherman, a former member of the SEALs who died, and for the heroes of the nations of the world who were involved in the rescue.
Hero, worthy of gratitude, forever remembered.
Kopp Time: What about ordinary people trapped in caves?
Tourism, adventures, field work often go into caves, which are complex, difficult to identify and easily lost. What about being trapped in a cave?
(a) Walking in the light of the hole, paying attention to the stones that can easily fall from the head and the obstacles at the foot;
Blowing whistles or calls, paying attention to the distribution of strength, calling for help according to an international distress signal: 1 minute, 6 times, pause for 1 minute, and constant repetition of irregular calls is more likely to attract attention;
(a) The placement of excess clothing or sheeting, indicating its location;
(b) The way through is as marked as possible, helping to identify themselves or allowing search and rescue personnel to find themselves;
(b) Rational distribution of food and the need not to eat at once;
Do not drink unclean water at will, which can cause diarrhoea, swelling and even dehydration. Every effort is made to find a drop of water in the cave, and a small drop or water accumulation may provide clean drinking water.
Keep warm, avoid heat loss, dry or dry clothes on the clothes, and keep those in need as warm as possible.
The first reaction of those in distress is panic, stress is high, calm, do not panic, find a way out or wait for help.
General recommendation: Prepare appropriate equipment and communication equipment before entering the hole, and let relatives and friends know their destination prior to departure and accompany those who are familiar with the cave.
