Will humans go mad when they know the ultimate truth of the world?
Sequence,
“Have you thought about what the other side of the planet is?”
The father sat by the lake, and threw a flat stone, which ran over the lake and disappeared at the end of his sight.
“Australia? Or Argentina? Dad, I’m not very geographical.”
“No, my father shook his head, and there was nothing there.”
“No way. Even if it isn’t, is there a sea?”
“If you go there, there’s the sea, there’s the city, there’s people, but if you don’t go, there’s nothing there,” and then it’s like being someone else, and you grab my shoulder, “Yang Yu, remember what I’m saying, the world, it’s not true.”
Without waiting for the father to say so, the lake had suddenly drawn water and dragged him into the water. I tried to catch my father, but it was too late to watch him sink.
I cried out to my father, but there was no response, except for the guillotine on the lake. In a hurry, I jumped into the water, and the cold lake suddenly took away all my strength, but I did not struggle to return, but to the bottom of the lake, it was dark, falling on death and falling down.
After all, it’s the only way I can get my father back.
I.
“Don’t think about it, Uncle, he might just need to be alone.” Liu Jie shot me on the shoulder and pour me a drink.
“If only that were true, I’d drink all the wine in my cup, “The key is that he’s changed his temper, and he’s been talking crazy all day.
Liu Jie sighs and then shakes his head: “I don’t know, but your father won’t see anyone, so I can’t.”
A week ago, my father went crazy.
My father, Yangshan, a university computer professor, left school and became a programmer, and all those who knew him said that he was a kind and optimistic person.
But just a week ago, he suddenly changed his temper and locked himself in the house, never left the room except for dinner and toilet. I tried to communicate with him, but he either said nothing or refused.
It’s been 20 years since my father had such an anomaly. I tried to contact the doctor, but he was furious. Later on, I thought of his childhood partner, Liu Jie, who was a college psychologist and had successfully graduated as a psychiatrist. I thought it would be easier for his father to accept the acquaintance, but when I brought him home, the father still turned his back and locked the door directly.
Next time I call you, I’ll get out of the barbecue with Liu Jie, and I’ll say, “I’m sorry. My dad’s not like that.”
“understand, understand.”
By the way, when I was going to turn around and leave, Liu Jie suddenly stopped me: “You said your father hides in his room every day, and you know what he’s doing in there?”
“I don’t know, but I think it’s computer-related, and sometimes I go through his room and I hear a keyboard knock, and I stop, “What’s wrong?”
“A man doesn’t go crazy for no reason, so I think your dad might have been in some kind of excitement…”
“So if you know what he’s doing, you’ll know why he’s crazy,” I realized, “and then you’ll be able to drug him.”
“It’s almost that,” Liu Jie shot me on the shoulder, “so you have to figure out what he’s doing.”
I noded, but it turned the corner without waiting for me to act.
That night, my father suddenly broke into my room, screaming that he had succeeded and was free. And when We were asleep, We thought we were dreaming, and then took two words and went back to sleep, and did not pay much attention to him.
And that’s why I missed the last chance to talk to my father.
Because the next day, the father disappeared completely.
II.
Father disappeared.
The company, the house, the old neighborhood, all the places my father used to go, but nothing.
I asked his friends and acquaintances, but looked at me with strange eyes and said that I had not seen my father for a long time.
I’m in a hurry to call the police, to put up a sign, all the ideas I can think of are used, but my father is still silent.
And I ended up sleeping out of strength for too long.
In my sleep, I saw my father back at home and locked himself in the house. But this time I didn’t leave, I ran into the door and found him sitting in front of the computer, playing with snakes over and over.
When I woke up, I remembered what Liu Jie had said, so I ran into my father’s room, opened the computer and found that there was almost no software in it, and only one familiar icon left on the table.
I feel a little sour in my nose, which is a snake-eating game prepared by my father, in which you have to manipulate the little snakes to eat all the squares and finally connect your own tails in order to successfully enter the next phase.
When I was a kid every weekend, my father made me sit on his lap and play the game with him, and then I grew up and lost interest in simple snakes, but he didn’t think he still had it.
I wiped my tears and opened the game.
Still familiar with interfaces and rules, but this time the difficulty seems to have dramatically increased. Before, no matter how difficult my father designed, I managed to pass, but this time I tried for hours, and I couldn’t get through the first level.
After countless failures, I finally found that normal games can never be cleared. Strangely, perhaps because my father was a computer professor, and I got it out of my ear when I couldn’t think of a program.
I wrote the program, and I found it right for the game, and when the game was off, there were two big words on the screen: new light.
The new light is the name of the district, where the father and mother lived before I was born. Then my mother died in childbirth, and the father did not rent or sell the house for the sake of the dead lover, even regularly cleaning it up.
I also lived there as a child, but later faced with my educational problems, my father finally took all the savings from his teeth and moved me into the school district.
When my father first disappeared, I went to the new light, and I thought it would have been too much anxiety and missed some key clues.
And just as I was getting up and going to the new light, there were two more words on the screen.
“Yan Rui, you will find me when you are completely free.”
This is the second time that my father has spoken of freedom, to be honest, and I don’t understand what this phrase means, and the current situation does not allow me to think calmly, either because my father is still unaccounted for or because this second sentence totally stops me:
“Be careful, Liu Jie.”
III.
I was only 10 years old when I knew Liu Jie, and I couldn’t remember the details of the situation, except for a little recollection that I met at a funeral.
Because I don’t go to school together, my relationship with Liu Jie has not become too close, but it is only occasionally. But I remember him being a good man and a good man. He never asked me to borrow money. Why would my father want me to be careful of him?
As I thought, I stopped a taxi and headed for the new light, and suddenly I found a car in the rear-view mirror that was sneaking after me under cover of night, but when I looked at it, it disappeared.
Half an hour later, the car arrived in Shin light and I walked towards the unit building. Half the road was followed by footsteps, but when I looked back there was nothing under the dark light.
I always felt someone was following me.
I was afraid that things seemed to get weirder, but when I thought that my father was still missing, I had to step up and move on with my head.
When I got inside, I closed the door and looked for it. It took about an hour to find a piece of paper under the couch.
I took out the paper and found some words on it, scribbles, apparently in a hurry. And when I had read it, I was in a permanent silence.
The idea on paper is probably to say that the world is not real, but, like the hacker empire, it is a large computer, and we are running the established procedures.
I have seen this theory online, when many people were talking about double-suture interferometry, and it was found that simply observing or not can change reality. For computer programs, in order to save memory, where we can’t see it, it won’t be real, it will be loaded only when it’s close, and it happens to be in line with observations to change reality.
For a long time, I thought it was just an unprovoked and puzzling assumption by the netizens, but I didn’t think my father, a university professor, believed in it.
“Now, I’ll tell you the way to get away from all this, but you must also be careful of the black mark on your arm, the bugs, the process of repairing it, which will be repaired once they know the specifics of the bugs, and you will forever lose your chance to be free and never find me.”
At the end of the message, my father also told me that I was free to break the procedure, which was to plant my bug and then die.
“When death is imminent, a person’s life will appear as a running light, which is, in fact, a restart of procedure. But if you grow bugs, you can go back from death to the top, and every time you go back, you get closer to the truth. Like a snake, when a snake eats all the squares, the end of the tail is connected, it can escape the world completely.”
“As for the bug, in the drawer in the TV cabinet, if you swallow the white pills, you can embark on the path of truth and freedom.”
That was the end of the message, after which I opened the drawer as instructed and found that some white pills were in it. I was silent, and if those words were said, I would have seen them as nonsense, but it was by my beloved father.
As a child, he was my pride, my best father, never lied to me, never disappointed me.
I hesitated to see the pills in the drawer, and I didn’t know if I should swallow them, and at that point, suddenly the door was pounding.
“Who?”
“It’s me, Liu Jie,” and there’s a familiar sound outside the door, “Yan Rui, are you all right?”
“Lu Jie? Why are you here?”
“I see you’re in a bad state, a little worried about you, so I’ve been following you. Yang, open the door and we’ll talk.”
I didn’t say anything, I didn’t doubt Liu Jie, but my father said something to him.
“Yan Yi, what’s wrong with you? Open the door!”
“I’m fine. You go ahead. I’ll be right back.”
“No, I won’t leave until you open the door today.”
As soon as the voice went down, there was a loud impact outside the door, and I knew it was Liu Jie that started to hit the door, so he got scared.
The increasing noise of the impact and the sound of the fall of the card during the period, which had been uninhabited for almost 20 years, the doors had become rusty and old, and it might be only a matter of time before Liu Jie opened up.
In a hurry, I had to tear the paper to pieces and flush it out in the toilet, and when I was concerned about swallowing the pills, I listened only to the sound of the hyena and the lock broke.
Liu Jie ran into the house and I didn’t hesitate to swallow pills on my head.
And then I felt like I was spinning, and everything was blurry.
I’m going backwards, and I’m going down on the ground. Before total loss of consciousness, the last thing I saw was my cell phone that fell on the ground, which showed time on 15 June 2021.
IV.
In the dark, there is something that shines like a screen in a dark cinema.
The images were gradually appearing on the screen, and it was my life, from the moment I was born to the moment I swallowed the pills, that the light and the darkness of more than 20 years were condensed into a film, flashing through.
Finally, the image was set by the lake, and I went to the wooden little pier in the fog, and my father was sitting at the end, with his back on me.
I remember this lake, when the computer got tired of it, and my father brought me here, either rowing or fishing.
“Dad, where have you been?”
“I’m not going anywhere,” Father didn’t turn back, “Yan Yu, I was waiting for you a long time ago.”
“The message you gave me, is it true?”
“Isn’t it true that you already have an answer?”
Having said that, the father was dragged into the lake by the water weeds that had suddenly been put out. In order to save him, I jumped, but the cold, cold lake took me away, and there was only a blackness in the eye…
When I woke up again, I was back at home.
And suddenly I felt guilty, and there was only me and Liu Jieh there before he fainted, and now I am well and seem to blame him.
My head aches, I rubbed my temple, I picked up my phone and wanted to see the time, and the whole person stopped.
The time shown on the phone was 12 June 2021, three days before I fainted.
I thought I had a problem with my cell phone, but whether it’s on the Internet or on Twitter, everyone told me that today is June 12.
I went through three days ago.
And three days ago, it was the first day of his father’s disappearance.
I thought of it, and I ran out of my house. Since God gave me a second chance, I must find my father.
I ran to the intersection and was going to stop a taxi to Shingo, where my father left me a note, where he must have been. And this time, I just have to wait there.
I thought everything would go well after that, but when the taxi arrived at the destination, I suddenly saw black marks on the driver’s arm.
It’s exactly what my father described in his message.
I’ve been pretending to be calm, pulling out my phone, scrutinizing, paying for it, but the driver grabbed me as soon as I opened the door to escape.
“Let go of me!” I struggled to get out of the car, but the driver had the strength to pull me back with one hand.
I was desperate to give up my resistance, and Liu Jie came out of nowhere, and he ran into the car and bit him in the arm.
Go, go, go! I looked back at the driver and found him without groaning or scolding, and he looked at me like a silent statue from the beginning.
I fought in a cold war, and then I ran and I couldn’t look back.
“What’s the matter with you?” We stopped at the bottom of the block, “What’s the matter with you?”
“Not an enemy,” I threw out Liu Jie’s hand, “But why are you here?”
Although Liu Jie just saved my life, I don’t doubt him much, but it’s good to be careful about the life of the ship.
“I came to your house when I heard the news, and I ran into you, and I was afraid you wouldn’t have to go, and I followed me.”
I nod my head.
“Well, it says it’s too hot.”
“You don’t wear long sleeves every day.” For a moment, I took Liu Jie upstairs. Although I passed out after that fainting, and I couldn’t tell if Liu Jie was in trouble, at least this time he saved me.
And now there’s a more difficult question: Earlier, Liu Jie had not come to me on the first day of his father ‘ s disappearance, which meant that, although I had crossed, the reality had changed.
“Hoo, it’s better now,” and Liu Jie turned on the air conditioner and I sat on both sides of the table, and, “Yeah, the driver, you didn’t know what was going on?”
“I don’t know.”
“It’s weird that I’m being followed today, for some reason.”
“Tracking?”
“Yeah, on the way to you, with my bare head following me, without talking, staring at me, like a fucking pervert, so I’m quick, and I hit a market and dumped him.”
“The man who followed you,” and I couldn’t hear it anymore, so I got up at the table, “Is there a black mark on my arm?”
“What are you doing?” Liu Jie was shocked by my reaction.
“Answer yes or no!”
“I didn’t look at it, but it was like there was a Yang Yeung. Are you okay?”
“It’s all right.” I waved, I didn’t talk.
If Liu Jie were also targeted, it would indicate at least three things: that the father’s message rate was real, that anyone who had anything to do with the matter might have been implicated, and that, at least for the time being, Liu Jie and I were on the same side.
I sat back, lit a cigarette, thought in silence. After a long time, I finally asked, “Can I trust you?”
In fact, everything that has happened since my father’s disappearance has already shaken my consciousness, snake-eating, computer worlds, death and bugs, through… and I would have gone mad if my faith not to find my father.
Right now, it’s an unknown if I can find my father. I need someone to help me share this.
And Liu Jie, no doubt, is the best.
“The next thing I’m going to say may be hard to believe, but I’m sure it’s true.” I told Liu Jie everything that had happened in the last few days, and I thought he would laugh at me, but not only did he not, but he took out a paper and a pen to write down all the points.
Liu Jie was faster than I thought, but I was not happy because when he stopped writing, I found this piece of paper was the one I had seen.
No wonder the writing on the paper was so scribble, because it wasn’t a message from my father, it was written by Liu Jie as a psychologist!
In other words, I left my own message on this paper!
Where did the father go? The clue to being a life-saving straw was broken like a joke, and I suddenly became desperate.
“Are you all right?” Liu Jie saw that I was wrong and asked.
“It’s okay,” I shaked my head, “I’m just wondering how to find my dad.”
“Yan Rui,” but then Liu Jie’s next words completely choked me, “I understand that you are in pain, but you cannot be brought back to life.”
“What the fuck are you talking about? My dad’s missing, not an accident.”
It’s Liu Jie’s turn to stop: “You lost your memory?”
“I lost your mother, Liu Jie, if you ever curse my father again, I’ll rip your mouth off!”
Liu Jie pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and opened the chat record in front of me, where the conversation stopped at 12 noon today, when I had not crossed.
I wrote him four words: “My dad’s gone.”
I feel like I’ve been drained and paralyzed in my seat.
“No, this is absolutely impossible ”
“The uncle jumped in the river last night with witnesses and video footage, the body was recovered this morning, and you confirmed it.”
“You said my dad jumped to death?”
Liu Jie Noded.
“Where?”
“The river next to the mental hospital, where the fences are so short – Yang Rui, where are you going!”
Without waiting for Liu Jie, I ran out of my house and headed for the river. I can’t accept the fact that my father died, and I’d rather believe that there are clues left to me by the river.
I tried to kill myself, but I left it to myself. What if it doesn’t work? Even if it were true, would the last backtrace directly turn the father from disappearance to death be worse?
And when I got to the river, my last illusion broke. There is nothing there, but a fence high above its waist, and a raging river whose feet are swollen by the rainy season.
Yang Rui, Liu Jie came along, and I know he was worried about me, “I know this is hard to accept, but–“
“Don’t worry, I’ll break Liu Jie’s voice, and then I’ll sit on the fence and light a cigarette, and I won’t have to open it.”
Liu Jie gave me a comforting hug and sat with me on the fence.
“The video you said earlier, “The silence lasted a long time, and I said, “Can I see it?”
“You really want to see this?
“Hmm.”
Liu Jie ordered a video and handed me his cell phone, and there was a tumble in the picture, no doubt, that was my father.
Then I saw my father climb up the fence and the surroundings screamed, but it was too late to see him jump down and jump into the river.
However, at the moment of the jump, the father suddenly turned to the crowd, and that was the turn, and his face was clearly on the scene.
That’s not my father’s face.
That’s my face!
I was scared, I was unconscious, but behind me there was nothing but a burning river.
I struggled, but it didn’t help, and the river poured into my lungs, and I lost consciousness.
V.
I came to the lake again.
This time, it seemed like Father knew I was coming, and he filmed the empty space around him, the “Sit.”
“Dad,” I sat by my father, “I still don’t understand.”
“Each death is a retroactivity, and every retroactivity is one step closer to the truth.
“But the message…”
“The cause and effect is the cycle, and when you touch the truth, you find it all makes sense.”
“How can I touch the truth?”
“When you think this is reality, when you find that everything can be explained, when the tail of the snake is connected, you are only one last step away from the truth.”
“But remember, the most critical and difficult retroactivity is that you have to find the first point, or you have to start from scratch.”
After that, the father disappeared again.
I thought I’d cross again, but no. When I woke up, everything around me was white, white walls, white sheets, and Liu Jie, who was sitting next to me in a white coat.
“You’re awake at last.” And all of a sudden, Liu Jie’s face was wrinkled, as if he had been older by night.
“Wait a minute.” I was trying to talk, but Liu Jie stopped me. He then asked me a lot of questions, and although I answered them honestly, both his tone and the content of the questions made me uncomfortable.
It’s not like a friend’s concern, but it’s like questioning a psychotic.
“It is true that, although the mental state is normal, memory is still confused and delusional symptoms persist.”
“You’re not saying?” I’m a little angry, “And what’s wrong with your face, why are you suddenly so old?”
“Yan Yi, do you think I’m as big as you?”
“What else?” I’m confused.
“I’m 15 years older than you, Yang. I was 25 when I met you, and you were only 10.”
“No way, we don’t–“
“Do you remember what I looked like when I was a kid?”
Liu Jie interrupted me, and his problems stopped me. I tried to search for all the memories of him, but found that he was only 25 years old in my mind, after which he had not changed, and before that there had been only one vague figure.
“Do you remember when we first met, rain, funerals, I ran towards you?”
I noded my head and said that I remembered that I didn’t know why I was standing in the rain, and the people next to me surrounded me with umbrellas, but I looked in cold eyes. And suddenly I felt so lonely, and the tears were pouring out of the rain, and then you came and hugged me and handed me an umbrella.
“But in fact, I brought not an umbrella, but a whole tranquilizer.”
“It’s not the day that nobody cares about you, it’s the day that you can’t accept it. Yang Yu, I’ve never been a friend of your age, but a doctor to treat you.”
“No way. It’s absolutely impossible!”
“Do you know whose funeral it was?”
“I can’t remember.”
“You don’t forget, but you don’t want to accept it. Think again, whose funeral was that day?”
And I returned again to the heavy rain, and We pushed the silent crowd out of the rain towards the black coffin. I pushed it away, and I finally saw the people lying inside.
That’s my father.
My father left me when I was 10.
VI.
I finally remembered.
My father, Yangshan, was indeed a university computer professor, but he did not go to work as a programmer, nor did he disappear by surprise, because he had a mental problem when I was 10 years old.
Maybe it’s because it’s been too long with computers, and fathers are beginning to think that the world is not real, and we’re all just computer-operated programs. Later, he was taken to a psychiatric hospital, where he became a patient of Liu Jie.
However, no one expected an accident soon after his father had entered the hospital, and one night he suddenly ran over the wall and left the hospital, and his whereabouts were unknown. A few days later, his body was recovered in the river and, after a police investigation, it was determined that the father had accidentally fallen into the river next to the hospital while on his way to escape.
No one contested the case, and a mentally ill person seemed to end up in hospital or dead. It is good that the father has had a great academic success, and that, together with being kind, both the school and his friends are willing to take charge of his affairs.
I couldn’t accept the fact that I was 10 years old and finally collapsed at the funeral. I went crazy and attacked those around me and prevented them from burying their father. In the end, Liu Jie came out of the crowd to stop me and, out of guilt, he not only covered the expenses of my growth since then, but also decided to treat me for free until I recovered completely.
And that’s when my memory got confused. I fantasize about a father who doesn’t exist, and let him stay with me and love me. As for Liu Jie, I thought of him as an unexpected peer.
And the truth about the funeral, under the cover of that heavy rain, became blurred.
Since then, my paranoia has become more acute, sometimes beyond the control of drugs, so that my father is considered missing. And the reason Liu Jie followed me that night was really worried about my mental state.
That night I ate the rat medicine as a clue left by my father, and if Liu Jie was not at the door, I would have lost my life.
As for the back passage, it’s probably just an illusion that I’m on the verge of dying, after all, Liu Jie and the hospital nurse said that I was in a coma for three days and three nights and never woken up.
A week later, Liu Jie processed my discharge and accompanied me to his father’s sacrifice. I kneeled before my father’s grave and accepted the fact that he had already left.
“Think about it, a lot of things can be explained.”
“What?”
“I was wrong from the very beginning, and I went to my dad’s friends and said that my dad was missing, that they were all sad and pathetic, and they were going to play with me and not want to break me.”
“Maybe I’ve known the truth for a long time, just because I didn’t want to give up. Now I feel much easier.”
Liu Jie came to my side and gently beat me on my shoulder: “Just think about it.”
I didn’t talk anymore, the sun fell through the leaves, and the gentle gold made everything look so good around me, so quiet, so… not real.
VII.
When I got out of the hospital, I was back as a programmer, under the influence of my father, and I showed my computer talent from childhood, so it was me, not my father, who was the programmer.
No wonder I was able to figure out how to solve snakes.
I also repackaged the father ‘ s room and found that there were only a few leftovers from years ago and that no one had ever lived there.
The dust has settled and life has gradually become more secure, except that Liu Jie still has a heart attack and feels that he is responsible for my father’s death, and he has always raised some topics about father and computer. But every time I shut my mouth, the first was that I did not remember clearly, and the second was that my experience and father’s words were too strange and terrible for me.
And now I just want to live in peace.
After a year of this, I went back to the hospital to examine the state of mind, which was going well, but when I got the report that I was about to leave the hospital, I accidentally hit a nurse on the corner of the corridor who was eating bubble noodles.
The noodles were pouring out, all in the hands of the nurse, and she fell down with her hands in pain, apparently burning.
“Are you all right?” I’m a little confused, “Do you want me to…”
“No, there’s cold water over there. I’ll run it myself.” The nurse turned me down and went straight to the next pool.
I was going to go straight home, but I thought it was a little sad, but after all, her face wasn’t so easy, she turned and went towards the pool.
“I’m sorry about that, your hand…”
“I’m fine!” The nurse seemed to have been frightened by me, pulling out the cold hand and pulling back the sleeve.
“Just fine.” I noded my head, and I turned around and left as if I were all right.
I was dazed, a moment of confusion about assumptions and reality, a moment of confusion about the path below my feet, and went deeper into the hospital.
I can’t believe the nurse had a black mark on her arm.
From time to time, doctors and nurses walk around, and I find that people in this hospital always wear long sleeves in winter and summer.
Is it true that all this is a false illusion, and that the strange and terrible experiences of the past are true?
“Give me a little more time, and I’m sure I’ll be able to solve this problem once and for all.”
I was thinking about the sound of familiar voices in my ears, and it was only when I looked up that I realized that I had come to the door of the President’s office without realizing it.
“Settling what? Just because you’re going to find the so-called source, we’ve let one go, now we’re gonna let the second one go?”
“But if the root causes are not addressed, there is probably a third and a fourth!” That’s why I hear that Liu Jie is talking and, out of curiosity, I walk very carefully towards the door and try to see through the glass on the door.
“He now believes it’s all true, and you’re going to have to ask him, what if he finds out?”
“But paper cannot be wrapped–“
“I said it’s okay to wrap! And even if he did find out, he might not have been able to find the first point, and then, if he was wrong, you would have plenty of time and opportunity to explore the root causes.”
“But-”
“Nothing but, I’m taller than you, and you have to listen to me!”
I finally saw their faces through the glass, the one I trusted most –
And there’s another cab driver who almost dragged me away!
I was afraid to stay and walk away from the hospital, and on the way I pretended to be nothing, and I understood that if anyone was found at this time, there would be no chance at all.
The moment I got out of the hospital, the sun was pouring on me, I suddenly felt so warm. The fragrance of the air, the noise around it, the temperature of the sun, the flow of people in front of me all the senses tell me that all this is true, but I know in my heart that the hospital, Liu Jie, along with the world, is nothing but a trick.
Now, I remember what my father said at the lake:
“When you think it’s the truth, when you find that everything can be explained.”
Now it looks like we’re just going to have to put a snake in the tail.
VIII.
I did not show up with Liu Jie, but I continued to live a normal life as usual.
A week later, I asked someone to find a dog with an incurable disease, and I knew it would not last long, but I took care of it, took pictures and videos and sent friends around, showing off how cute it was and how much I loved it.
Three months later, the dog died, and I cried all night in front of Liu Jie and a group of friends, and I was drunk. When I woke up the following day in the afternoon, I took Liu Jie to the outskirts of the country and found a plot to bury the dog.
Everyone knows that after losing his father, I put all my feelings and heart on that puppy, but no one knows that I knew from the moment I bought it that it would not last.
The precious life has left me, and that will be the perfect reason for my delusions.
A week after the dog died, I bought a doll in the store and treated him as his son, talking to him every day.
And every weekend, I take the doll to the lake where my father used to take me as a child, telling him the truth about the world.
The first to discover the anomaly was Liu Jie, but it seemed that he did not take it seriously, except that he sometimes urged me to go to the hospital for treatment.
And this behaviour of him makes me even more certain that there is a problem with the world, or why else would he be nervous about his father’s delusions, while he is indifferent to his son’s delusions?
But there’s another problem that bothers me. If the white pills in the room are not BUG’s, but the rat’s. Where is the real BUG hiding?
I couldn’t figure it out until one day he got drunk and suddenly asked me, “Did my father not teach me or leave me anything?” There were three words in my voice, but I swallowed it and shook my head and said I didn’t know.
And when I came home, I turned on the old desktop computer, and after a long time waiting for it, I realized that there was only snake-eating on the table.
It’s a puzzle waiting to be solved.
I pulled out my cell phone and sent the leader a letter of resignation, then turned it off and locked the door and started a long detachment trip.
At this point, I understand that it is me who resigns, and it is me who suddenly goes mad — the snakes that are beginning to tie together.
However, as the door was closed for a long time, Liu Jie became suspicious. First, he asked me out to drink, then he turned a blind eye to my refusal and went straight into my house, and if I hadn’t managed to make a fool out of the past, I would have lost it.
But I also know that one day, if we drag it down again, we’ll see it coming to an end, and that’s the night when I sort of sort it out.
The puzzle was followed by a voice message from the father detailing the truth about the world and the first message about his death. As for the BUG, my father had given it to me from the beginning, the snake he had developed.
That is to say, when I played this game for the first time as a child, I was on the road to freedom. And that rat poison was just to get me to turn the first layer back on.
In addition to that, I understand the backtracking mechanism, and every backtrace will go further, so I’ll leave a message to myself on the second floor. The second layer is the first layer, while the final layer is the entire layer.
To think of it, I did not go directly to the initial point, but reencrypted the snake and added two misleading messages.
When everything was ready, I said goodbye to the doll who had been forced to play his son and went straight to the mental hospital.
By the time I got to the mental institution, it was almost empty, I pulled out my phone and called Liu Jie.
“Lu Jie, I want to make a deal with you.”
“Transaction?” Liu Jie’s speech is a bit confused, apparently still awake, “What are you talking about?”
“Don’t you want to know what the roots of the BUG are?”
Liu Jie was silent, and then he hung up the phone and five minutes later he appeared before me in a long-sleeved white coat.
“You didn’t believe it from the beginning, did you?” Liu Jie gave me a cigarette and sat with me on the bench outside the hospital.
“I believe that the death of my father is real, and that my paranoia is real, and I even believe that the rat medicine is real.” I took the smoke, “I know you didn’t lie to me about these things, but it doesn’t prevent me from believing that the world is not real.”
“Damn,” Liu Jie scolded him and put up his sleeves with black marks on it: “I knew it would stop, I had to wear long sleeves every time I came to see you, I had to wear them in the heat, I was hot.”
I laughed, I didn’t talk, and it took a while for Liu Jie to say, “You just said the deal, you know my needs, and what about yours?”
“I want to know where my father actually fell into the water and died, or should say where he was completely free.”
“At the beginning…” Liu Jie thought for a while and said, “But why should I tell you? We are well placed to keep you in captivity forever until natural death goes to zero, and even if you commit suicide in the middle of the journey, you will be put back on the first level due to the error of retracing, which is just another futile cycle.”
“But you wouldn’t do that.”
Liu Jie stopped.
“You remember my second return, when I was about to be taken away, and you saved me, and finally you told me. Liu Jie, also as a programmer, I understand that what you want is not to stop me and my dad, “I’ve stopped and then I’ve increased my tone, “It’s to fix the BUG completely so that no one can take advantage of it.”
Liu Jie was silent, and it took a long time to say, “You’re right, but I told you where your father landed.”
“That can’t be true, or my face will not appear on the video.”
“I see,” Liu Jie noded, “But the world is fake, but I can guarantee you happiness, as far as the outside I don’t know what it is.”
“I understand, but at least it’s true,” I smiled, “and my dad was waiting for me outside.”
“I don’t give a shit about it. It was at the lake where your dad used to take you when you were a kid.”
Liu Jie’s eyes don’t look like lies, and every time I look back, I do see my father sitting at the lake: “Just at my house, the old computer, there’s only one program on the desktop.”
“One hour after the resolution of the BUG, the escape route will be closed and you will not be able to get out.”
Having said that, Liu Jie rose up and left me alone in the bench. I know I have more than an hour to get there, and when Liu Jie gets there, he will be misled by the wrong information, and then he will go to the unsolved door of Shining Light.
And the real BUG, I’ve been uploading it to the Web site long ago, and if there’s someone who does open it, and he’s done it, he should give him a chance to touch it.
When I thought of it here, I got up and headed for the lake. An hour later, I came to the lake and I saw the wooden dock. In a coma, I seem to have seen my father sit on it again.
I ended up looking at the world behind me, and I know it’s fake, but it’s been living for almost 30 years and it’s always emotional.
As for what truth awaits me beyond this falsehood, I do not know what the world is but a lie, so I will flee it.
All I know, Father, is that I’m waiting outside.
I no longer hesitated to jump into the lake, and the lake poured into the lungs, which quickly plunged me into total darkness. A moment later, a luminous light shined in the darkness, and I swam towards the luminous light and approached it to find a door. I pushed in and found out that my father was sitting in front of a computer while playing with snakes. Suddenly, I found myself smaller, and I went up, like every weekend in my childhood, into my father’s arms.
Three days later, people walking by the lake discovered a floating body, but when the police pulled it up, they found it was not a human being but a dead little snake.
And that little snake’s mouth just bit its own tail.
Will humans go crazy when they know the ultimate truth of the world?
I don’t know.
Keep your eyes on the road.
