_ Options for full-time and part-time graduate students

In recent days, part-time graduate students in an enterprise, when processing entry materials, have found that the local talent introduction system does not have the option of ” part-time ” , which makes it impossible to process the materials and files. To this end, local part-time graduate students have submitted to the relevant government departments for information on the status of part-time graduates and on equal employment rights.

In this case, it is generally clear that there are still problems in society with regard to the recognition and rights of in-service and full-time graduate students. So what are the options for part-time and full-time graduate students to prepare for the study? What is the social recognition of working part-time graduate students?

With this, a small analysis of the issue is being made here today, in the hope that it will be possible to resolve the doubts for our fellow students.

I. What is full-time versus part-time?

What?

In fact, full-time and part-time are only two ways of developing at the postgraduate level. In the current study and study studies, the studies are largely full-time, while the postgraduate studies of professional degrees have both full-time and part-time study methods.

Full-time post-graduate studies: full-time post-graduate students who meet the requirements for admission to State postgraduate studies, are admitted to higher education institutions or other educational institutions with the qualifications required to carry out post-graduate education through the post-graduate entrance examination or other forms of admission recognized by the State, and are released from full-time studies within the basic years of their studies or the prescribed years of the school, bearing in mind the need to do so!

Part-time post-graduate studies: Part-time post-graduate studies, which meet the requirements for admission to State postgraduate studies, are admitted to institutions of higher learning or other educational institutions with the qualifications for postgraduate education, within the school ‘ s prescribed years of study (generally, the basic years of study should be extended, as appropriate), while pursuing other professions or social practices, using a variety of approaches and flexible time frames for non-release studies, with a focus on: non-release studies!

It should be added here that a considerable number of students may think that part-time graduate = in-service graduate, but in fact the two are different concepts.

In-service post-graduate studies are one of the types of post-graduate education in the national programme, in the capacity of an active person, without or half-baccalaureate, part-time work and part-time study. It belongs to the National Education Series. Since 2017, there have been two types of postgraduate studies: two-licensed general postgraduate studies (which include full-time and part-time forms of study) and in-service master’s degree students (in-service graduate studies).

Among them are: in-service master ‘ s degree (which has now been abolished); and in-service master ‘ s degree, both of which are only in-service master ‘ s degree but do not have a post-graduate degree (which is subject to national general examination). The Network of Officials of the Ministry of Education states that after 16 years, the number of graduate students and degrees awarded includes both full-time and part-time forms of study (two certificates). In contrast, a master ‘ s degree (certificate) is not an academic education.

Part-time graduate students are in fact different from former in-service graduate students. In the past, only degree certificates were available for postgraduate studies in the past, and there was no diploma, so-called documents. In 2017, part-time graduate students were born on the same basis as full-time graduate students, both with a diploma and with a degree, as a two-certificate development model.

Full-time and part-time graduate students are part of the umbrella sub-programme. The pre-existing in-service post-graduate studies were abolished and part-time double-graduate studies were established. Part-time graduate students are included in the National General Examination and are aligned with full-time graduate students. The same requirements for admission, training and graduation are that their diplomas have the same legal status and effect. Both types of education are the same as general higher education, but not full-time refer only to the mode of study and non-education.

In short, part-time postgraduate studies are a form of in-service postgraduate enrolment, and in-service postgraduates in traditional understanding include part-time graduate studies.

II. Full-time versus part-time comparisons

Common ground

Part-time and full-time post-graduate enrolments and examinations take the same amount of time, with a single registration in October of each year and an initial reference examination in December. The principle of admission is to apply the same policy and criteria for admission to the 1 part-time and full-time post-graduate examinations on the basis of national uniform requirements.

The first part-time and full-time postgraduate training programmes are the same and adhere to the same standards and ensure equal quality.

The diploma is different.

Upon completion of a part-time and full-time post-graduate study, a certificate indicating the manner of study is issued in accordance with the relevant national regulations. This means that the diploma obtained from part-time graduate studies is marked as “part-time”.

Full-time study, full-time instruction, general accommodation, household records

Transferable to school.

Part-time study is part-time, with a concentration of classes, mainly on double-leave days and holidays

Schools generally do not provide accommodation and household records are not transferred to schools.

School fees are different.

Full-time tuition is low, part-time is higher, and it’s basically over 40,000, 60,000, yes

Profession (e.g. MBA) varies from 100,000 to hundreds of thousands a year.

It’s different.

Part-time work is mainly for employed persons with a certain number of years of service and experience, with orientation

Foster.

Full-time work is mainly for undergraduate students, and non-directed training.

Scholarships are different.

There are basically no scholarships for part-time graduate students; full-time graduate students have scholarships

National grant of 6,000 yuan per year; persons eligible for national scholarship

2000 yuan/year. (Specific requirements for applications are the following: Of course.

Some scholarships have also been offered to attract students for part-time enrolment.

Ugh.

III. Part-time graduate studies are not worth applying for?

Part-time graduate students are the product of the new stage of our country’s educational development.

In the long term, there has been controversy over the way part-time postgraduate studies have been conducted, students tend to fear that part-time postgraduate studies are less expensive than full-time graduate studies, and that there is a real difference in the treatment of part-time and full-time graduate students in the job market, even though some institutional units and employers are required to place full-time masters on recruitment.

In particular, at the retrofitting stage, many study students are also faced with the willingness to transfer to part-time. Is it worth the part-time graduate study?

On the one hand, the way in which part-time graduate studies are conducted does have a certain disadvantage compared to full-time.

Tuition fees for part-time graduate students are generally higher than those for full-time graduate students, and part-time post-graduate schools generally do not receive scholarships, scholarships, etc. Part-time graduate students have shorter hours of study in their professional studies and require a longer school system to complete all subjects. With regard to accommodation, schools generally do not provide accommodation for part-time graduate students, nor are they responsible for the migration of residences and files of part-time graduate students. In the area of social recognition, the relatively low level of social recognition of part-time graduate students is also due to the relatively short period of socialization.

On the other hand, the social recognition of part-time graduate students has been promoted through relevant policies at the national level.

Since the new policy of the Ministry of Education in 2016, the difficulty of taking examinations for part-time graduate students has increased, which has also led to an upward trend in the amount of gold in part-time graduate students. In April 2020, the Ministry of Education issued a joint communication, further emphasizing part-time work

At the same time, the Daily People ‘ s Journal calls for full-time and part-time education to be treated equally and against any form of discrimination in employment. As a result, the social recognition of part-time graduate students has been increasing, and at the policy level, attention has been given to part-time employment.

At the same time, there are advantages in part-time studies, such as the flexibility of part-time study time, which allows for both job learning and, while working in the field, the development of expertise in schools; and the ability to reach out to people. In fact, nothing is or is absolutely worth it, as long as it improves its level of knowledge and prospects for employment, both full-time and part-time, and when it comes to successful admission, it is a good choice.

IV. What is the specific choice between full-time and part-time?

In general, the choice of part-time post-graduate studies is determined by the student ‘ s own circumstances, and the situation varies according to the individual case.

For undergraduate students, the first option is, of course, full-time postgraduate. In the course of the transfer, there may be a situation of full-time non-replacement and part-time transfer, which would require further consideration, in the light of the motivations of the study, to reflect on the future of life: If there is a desire for academic research, and if there is a desire for further study in the future, the way in which part-time graduate studies are conducted is indeed difficult to improve academic achievement; if there is a future desire for institutional work, full-time work is still a better option; if there is a more purely work-related threshold, it can be considered for transfer to part-time work and carefully choose a more comprehensive school.

For those who are already working, it is a good choice to enrich their expertise and to apply for part-time graduate studies. Not compared to full-time

Full-time study time is flexible and can be carried out in parallel with work. Following the issuance of the new policy, full-time and part-time graduate students have the same policy of admission to the examination and the same standards of development, and their diplomas have the same legal status and effect. For working students, part-time post-graduates can both accumulate work experience and obtain a master ‘ s degree to upgrade their qualifications.

The best choice is one of full-time and part-time, taking into account their own circumstances, and taking into account the differences between them, as explained above, taking into account the objectives of their studies and studies, future employment planning, difficulties in their application, and economic conditions.
