I’ve got a college student who’s worth over a billion dollars, who emigrates, who’s in the textile business, and who’s trying to get the garbage back to China.
More than a dozen tons of medical waste, worth 20 million cases, have affected four villages along the border, causing more than 40 people to suffer from disease and more than 10 people to remain disabled.
Despite the loss of his fellow countrymen, he remained complacent and considered himself superior.
Until he was arrested and cried in court, and repented!
The student, Suaimi, is said to have emigrated after graduation, but often chatted with QQQ people at our university, had a happy life after they emigrated to Australia, one dollar fried chicken, a villa with a yard, a farm, a trading warehouse…
His textile trade is understandable, after all, but sometimes he eats a Western meal and drinks a red wine, and then he says, like Australia, eats cheaply, hospitals are free, lays flat, and lives well.
He then said that he was doing business with his own country, how much money he made, and asked what others had been doing recently.
Two or three years after his graduation, he was returned, but then there was no one but a few.
He started to go to other forums and get a link to our group.
Actually, I have a lot of high school students living in Europe and America, but never one like him.
I respect everyone, but I find it boring to live abroad, but to have an advantage in domestic forums.
I thought we wouldn’t have anything to do with each other until that day…
I remember particularly that one summer afternoon, when I was reviewing statistics, So Amy sent me a tweet: “Is it easy to speak? I’m sorry.
He never contacted me before. My first reaction was, did he want to borrow money?
I thought he was living so well, how could he borrow money from someone like me?
I didn’t like him very much, but I stopped and replied, “Okay. I’m sorry.
And soon he called me and said, “Hey, old school, you’re working at the border crossing, I’m doing some import business in Australia. Can I ask you a few questions? I’m sorry.
I think he really had business problems and said, “Okay. I’m sorry.
“I have some stuff, some used textile material, going to a bonded port in northern Vietnam, then to China. There’s no taxes in Vietnam, is there? I’m sorry.
“As far as I know, there’s basically no inspection in Vietnam if you don’t report in Vietnam, but other costs, such as unloaded storage, may be available, and then the transfer to China may be complicated. You can just send it to China. “I think it’s strange that something doesn’t have to come back from Vietnam.
“You can send it to China, but Customs doesn’t know anyone. I’m sorry.
And I felt like I was wondering, “What are you sending in?” It’s normal for me to say there’s nothing wrong, but we’re in a lot of cargo and we don’t have to know anyone to trade. You can just walk normally. I’m sorry.
“You’ve known the border for years at customs, why don’t you join us as an agent and do business there. He didn’t say what he wanted, but he started to persuade me.
“We can’t work part-time. I said to him, “What do you need? I can answer you. I’m sorry.
“You’ve got $100,000 a year, right? Or I’ll give you half a million a year, and you’ll stop by customs, help me, and live in Australia. I’m sorry.
In fact, I only had $50,000 a year and he looked up to me, but I didn’t like him, I didn’t take his word for it, and I ended this conversation in a hurry.
I thought it was over. I didn’t expect what happened afterwards.
After a few days, the old cook who cooked at our port said to me that some of the villagers in the mountains had recently had skin problems and had large skin poxes and itches, so let’s be careful.
In the mountains on our south-west border, where every kind of drugworm is running, it’s normal to have skin problems. I was on a mission with long sleeves and thick football socks, and I felt that skin problems were normal, so I asked him, “Is it normal to be bitten by bugs? I’m sorry.
Old Gao said, “Is there any problem with the goods recently? After all, they’re not like you. I’m sorry.
The “boughting” is a kind of smuggling that locals call an ant moving, a box of things, a national policy that allows border residents to bring in less than $800 a day, so as long as it is not a state-restricted item, we don’t fight hard.
Moreover, the border is too long to be hit, and we usually just hit their bosses.
“What do they do?” I asked, “Do you think there’s any heavy metal contamination?”
“Just some clothes, I don’t know. “The old Gao says,
I’m not serious again. It’s too easy to bring in cheap clothes at the border.
But I also met to inform our cadre fighters of the possibility of contact with skin diseases, which would allow them to exercise personal protection during the identification process.
I don’t know.
A few days later, Kim Fai, who was in charge of the border trade inspection, told me that some of the fruit boxes entering the country contained worn clothes and some plastics.
I went over and found that these things were wrapped in knitted bags and foam boxes, and there was nothing unusual about other boxes with fruit.
The knitting bag was torn open, and I opened the box, and there were some clothes that didn’t look old, and some plastic bottles, written in English, which were loaded with medicine.
There’s no doubt that these are some shit.
The borderers who transported the goods called their foreman, and he said he did not know, either, that the boss had him move the goods, that he could have loaded the van and the villagers settled the bills and shipped them, the same pattern as before.
Most of the boxes were loaded on cold-chained trucks parked in the cargo yard, so we went to unload all the boxes already loaded, and each one was checked.
After two hours of work with Kim Fai and other colleagues and soldiers, a cold-chain vehicle was finally checked and two boxes of garbage cargo was found.
I thought it was a big case of smuggling, but there were only three cases.
The foreman contacted his boss, explaining the situation, who was angry and believed that the Vietnamese had put them in jail.
Since I have not seen such cases, I have consulted the Rule of Law Section, which is responsible for the collection and carrying of marine garbage, which is not subjective and has little value, and which needs to be returned, accompanied by administrative penalties and a fine of $5,000.
This little case is over, but maybe old clothes from the hospital, bottles of medicine, and recently old Gao’s skin disease, make me think that someone has given us a special poison from abroad?
I contacted my colleagues at the Quarantine Service to test these used clothing for any disease.
At the same time, I went to the chief of the border police station to help him understand the situation, and after two days he said to me, “It is true that there are people whose skin is bad and their rashes are no big deal, but they are old people who are stubborn, they are not told what to do, and some do not want to see them.” We can’t go after them, or we can contact the environmental department? I’m sorry.
I’m not connected to the environment, waiting for the results. I think if it’s true that they’re from outside the country, they’ll be given an administrative penalty if they don’t have evidence.
And used clothes are not drugs, and there’s nothing we can do if the guy bites them in his own house.
In addition to having the village persuade the villagers to treat the disease in a timely manner and to look at the whole picture, there was still a need to find a way in which to enter the country, but in the next few days, no more foreigners were found in the border market.
Even if the inspection and quarantine authorities fail to produce results, I have written a report to the leadership, hoping to secure our ports and catch similar cases of smuggling, mainly on the grounds that there may be foreign marine garbage and that there may be exposure to sexual viruses.
As soon as the leaders’ final opinion is received, Sioux Amy relayed links to the group, presumably “the country’s medical waste is disposed of indiscriminately, endangers the environment and harms health”, and concluded that “the country should open up NGO organizations to oversee environmental protection and introduce good health waste treatment companies in Europe and the United States so that the virus from the hospital can be eliminated.”
She also shared some of Australia ‘ s best practices, such as universal business health insurance, such as high-efficiency private enterprises, such as advanced environmental protection, and said that there would certainly be no such problems in Australia.
There are a few who say that they live well abroad, that they cannot afford to be sick in China, that they have low wages, and so on — but they do not work well.
I looked at the map of this link, as if it were our 100,000 mountains, and asked in the crowd, “Where is this?” I’m sorry.
So Amy replied, “It’s not written, I don’t know, but it’s a shame you’ve learned so well before. I’m sorry.
I continue to ignore him, and that is the day the leaders reached an opinion and decided to deploy in the vicinity of our port to arrest and smuggle in.
At that time, the border had only defence fences and barbed wire in priority areas, while the border was particularly long and complex, and the rest had access to water or grass, so it was particularly difficult to catch goods at the border between the two countries without a port.
For the sake of clarity, we have arranged for soldiers to set up ambushes at some high points every night.
I’ve been phyto-sanitary, and they say there’s some conventional fungus like coli, and there’s no virus that causes pox and skin problems, and it says it has nothing to do with marine litter.
Of course, I can’t judge.
Two days later, a checkpoint reported that people were moving goods near the crossing between two villages on the border river, that the boxes were similar to what we had previously seized, and that there were two minivans.
Because of the distance to the gates, I reported to Deputy Director Li of the P.D.I., who asked him to bring in the private section, and to organize directly the personnel of our port of entry to the point of embarkation to reinforce them and place secret cards on both ends of the road they were going to pass.
I’m in charge of one group, another group is under the responsibility of Zhang Jian at our port, and the checkpoints continue to monitor the pickup.
After a while, the whistle said that two minivans were coming in my direction, and I asked Zhang to drive from there to our side, and then we drove towards the minivan. We’ll park two cars in the middle of the road, make an ambush and wait for the car to come.
Two minivans came in very quickly, parked near our blocked car, and I brought a truncheon to the front and Kim Fai to the back.
The van belonged to the hardware store, and it was short. I said to the driver, “Customs check! Stop the fire! Get out! I’m sorry.
The driver looked at us and got out of the car with no resistance, and the driver in the back was brought down, and they were crouching their heads on the floor, both of them of their age.
I asked the warriors to check the cargo in the car and asked the former driver, “Who let you pull the load?” Where to?”
He said, “We, the owner of the cargo yard, will go to our warehouse on the side of Ming Liang village. I’m sorry.
Ming Liang village is a village in our mountain, not near the border.
And We said to him, “You are still young, and you will join us in what will come after us.” Do you know what you pulled? I’m sorry.
He said, ‘I will drag, and I will not open my eyes.’ The soldiers who checked at the time told me the boxes were full of used clothes and some old plastics.
I turned on the phone map and asked the driver, “What’s the name, location of the warehouse? I’m sorry.
He said, ‘It is a warehouse that enters the mountains, everyone knows it.’ I’m sorry.
And he found a place called Heung’s delivery yard, and he continued, “We’ll pass the cargo and they’ll unload it.” I’m sorry.
And We said to him, “Our people drive your car, and you follow me in it, and if you have a phone call, you are going back, and don’t say anything else, and you will deliver a load, and we will not put you in trouble.” I’m sorry.
Nod the driver.
I immediately called Director Li to keep him from bringing people here and to meet directly at a junction at Yenbing Road to Ming Liang village, and then I asked Kim Fai to carry a second car, followed by our car, and I arranged to send all his bulletproof vests down and check their equipment.
“Let’s go, be careful. It’s not easy. I arranged for everyone, and I put a bullet in my 92 pistol cartridge. So, two pick-ups, four SUVs, went to one of the fields I’ve never been to.
7.
Meet Director Li at the agreed place, and the Chief of the Section has arrived.
We made it clear that the latter operation was under the unified command of Director Li, who heard my brief report and then asked the driver about the terrain of the cargo yard.
The site was then visited with several men.
When they returned, Director Li said to me, “The cargo yard is relatively flat. Dong, let the driver drive. You’re in the first car. Your men follow the second car. I’m sorry.
He then went to arrange for the division of labour among others, and after the opening of the cargo yard, the first Bocha private section went up, took control of the insider, and the others, along with the uniformed soldiers, took charge of the scene.
He also arranged for people at every corner of the cargo yard to prevent them from jumping through walls.
Everything is right. The driver’s phone is ringing. I put him on speakerphone, and there’s a man’s voice in it, and he says, “What’s taking you so long?” I’m sorry.
The driver looked at us and said, “I’ll be there soon. The phone was hung up across the street.
The director said, “Let’s go! I’m sorry.
8.
I’m in the cab, I can’t be seen outside, the minivan comes to the gate, the driver honks the horn, nothing happens, the door opens.
I jumped down and pointed a gun behind the door: “Customs police, don’t move! I’m sorry.
He raised his hand, and I looked around, and in addition to the two houses that entered the door, there were two sheds in the yard, and the whole yard was not too big and there was a bigger truck.
The sheds were simply surrounded by iron sheeting, with lights on them.
Director Lee’s Land Cruiser came in and we quickly took control of two more people in the house at the door. I’m sorry.
A fat man bowed his head and said, “It’s me. I’m sorry.
Director Li just wanted to keep asking questions, and Kim Fai, who came from the shed, said, “Li, Dong, come and take a look.” I’m sorry.
I followed him into the door, and I went into the shed, and after a heavy smell, I was shocked by what I saw:
There are many piles of old clothes piled up in mountains, and a dozen elderly villagers sit next to them, sorting them out, with some clothes packed in small bags and with plastic scrap in blue barrels, which is a dump.
The villagers did not even have masks or gloves.
The Li Bureau called him who was responsible, and asked him, “What is your name? What are you doing? Who will be behind you?”
The fat man said, “My name is Wei Suh-ho, the owner of Liu. In the neighbouring province, I divided these into categories and sent them to him. Some of them were thrown out as garbage. I’m sorry.
“The plastic medical waste was thrown away? I asked him.
“Yes. The fat guy says,
Chief Cao said, “What does Boss Liu do, how do you contact him? Tell us immediately! I’m sorry.
“I know his phone number, he’s in some costume business, but he hasn’t seen anyone. His address is in a city in the north of the next province. We had a shipping list. The fat guy continues to answer.
“How many have you done? Mr. Cao continues to ask:
“Seven or eight tons. The plastic’s gone. It’s gone. “The fat guy’s still honest, saying everything.
And when Kim Fai gathered all the elderly who had taken part in the process, and they were all blind, We asked them, “Where are you from? Who told you to do this? I’m sorry.
Most of them bowed their heads, and a man pointed at the fat man and said, “That’s him.” I’m sorry.
The fat man looked at that man and answered my question: “He was from Ming Liang village, and those before him were from several villages.” I’m sorry.
Director Lee arranged for the private section to say, “Cho, let’s go first, let’s go first, let’s go first, let’s go first, let’s go first, let’s get the place under control. I’m sorry.
Then he turned to me and said, “Surely, it’s going to be coordinated across the province, and it’s not a small number of tons of marine garbage, so you should be part of it. I’m sorry.
I nodded, but I said to Director Li, “The inter-provincial coordination must have brought in the Quarantine Department, and I took some of this shit for the last time, and I didn’t find any big problems, but there’s always a problem with the skin disease of so many people at the border, so let them sample it. I’m sorry.
Director Lee agreed with me that I was taking everyone to jail with me and that my colleagues in the investigation and the investigation department had conducted a preliminary trial of Fats and several others.
I would also like to have an answer from the trial as to how the garbage came from a real virus and where it went.
When I completed my work that night, I thought that it seemed that there was no significant risk, unlike the drug-smuggling, and that those people were quite cooperative.
The next day, an inter-provincial working group coordinated by the superiors was set up, and a video conference was held to inform the known neighboring province of Liu Yi’s boss, who was involved in dressmaking but did little.
His relatives had some relations with Australia, and had recently received and delivered a large number of goods, and the circular also stressed that he had recently been active in donating clothing to public interest agencies.
The superiors decided that the next day they would be arrested by their colleagues there and then dig deep into the sources and channels of the whole ocean.
Two days later, when the meeting took place, colleagues there said that Mr. Liu and some of his men had already arrived, that they had not confronted customs and had told the truth about the situation:
Mr. Liu was in the garment business, his relatives were involved in some waste recycling, and they contacted Australian friends through relatives, who were used to treat scrap metal and plastics within the import quota.
Later, they started smuggling abandoned clothing into the country, selling it as second-hand clothes on a second-hand platform on the Internet, making money in the country, selling it online and making some money, and also donating some old clothes to poor children in the west at the request of foreign agents.
A few times, people from Australia told them there were cheaper second-hand clothes, but they probably picked up some plastic waste and brought it to China for their treatment, and they agreed for money, that’s what we found.
I asked, “Did anyone who had contact with the garbage have skin problems before?” I’m sorry.
Our colleague from the neighbouring province said, “We’ve looked into it, and it’s normal for his people and for those who received it before. I’m sorry.
Quarantine colleagues said, ” Speaking of skin diseases, the symptoms we had before do not exclude lightweight smallpox, but the disease has been missing for more than 30 years, and our cell has no means of testing and is being examined. We have advised that all contacts and ongoing cases be sealed, and it is now estimated that four villages will need to be sealed. I’m sorry.
Smallpox, I was so shocked at the meeting, it seemed like I only saw it in the story.
In addition to being shocked, I took pictures from a link sent by So Amy the other day, and I said, “I also found some pictures from some of the forums, to make sure that they were taken by suspects during questioning. I’m sorry.
My colleagues said it would be implemented soon.
At the meeting, the superiors also informed him of his offshore contact, an Australian company that made raw materials for textiles, although the other party paid them with a foreign personal account, and Australia would certainly not cooperate in our investigation of the matter, so it was not possible to determine for the time being who was delivering the goods.
After discussion, it was initially assumed that because of the severe restrictions on marine litter in the country, they would be able to transit from Viet Nam through legal formalities and then enter the country through the border villagers, using the trade policy of the exchange of markets, by moving ants.
When used clothes are sold to Mr. Liu, plastic garbage is dumped in the mountains, or garbage is disposed of by a garbage incineration plant, the shipper knows the border entry and means of smuggling, and the whole smuggling arrangement can be described as painful, but why is it paid to donate the old clothes outside the country?
10.
Shortly after the meeting, local screening and control measures were put in place, with several villages under seal, and the origin of the clothes was not announced outside the country, but the villagers cooperated when they learned that the sorting of clothes had a virus.
In total, more than 40 cases were identified and regional controls were implemented quickly; we have three suspects, who are also in close contact, but the actual pathogens await investigation.
The elderly people in the village, if they are not told that they don’t normally take their skin itching and chickens seriously, many feel that they may have been bit by some insect and that they are mostly poor and do not want to go to remote district hospitals.
Follow-up to other smuggling clearances, which were deployed by the superiors, found that more than four tons of over-sea garbage were present here, as well as some other land ports.
Two days later, Director Li came to me and said, “Where did you come from when you said you had taken Liu’s picture at the last meeting? I’m sorry.
“In a link sent by my classmates. I said:
“Your classmates in Australia? I’m sorry.
“Yes, his family was in the textile business and asked me some questions about the Vietnamese bonded port. I said:
“Today, our superiors have arranged for us to talk to Vietnamese Customs, to get specific information about the firm at the port of entry, and the smuggler must have studied us, and your classmates seem to know us. I’ll talk to him later. We’ve already said hello in Vietnam. You represent the border crossing. We’ll be fine. Director Lee said:
For years at the border, I knew what that meant, and I asked Kim Fai to go with another colleague who could drink.
In the afternoon discussions, it was true that the Vietnamese side was a few more guests and difficulties, and that by 5 p.m. the Vietnamese kept making their dinner arrangements, and we made a gift of the famous Chinese white wine, saying a few nice words.
What’s interesting about Vietnam is that they particularly like to drink the famous Chinese white wine, but it doesn’t work.
Finally, after more than 10:00 p.m., the Vietnamese governor of Nguyen Yu asked the interpreter to tell us: “This Australian company, which transports garbage to Vietnam, must find out.” I’m sorry.
After two days at the Vietnamese restaurant, Huang asked me to talk to him, and he asked me very seriously: “Did you leak any work secrets in your work? “Do you know the double responsibility?”
I thought the leader would say that I was drinking and I was bragging, so I said, “Maybe I’ve been drinking a little bit lately, but I don’t feel like I’ve leaked my work secret.” I’m sorry.
He gave me some print-out, some stories in English, some images of social media from abroad, which were translated, for example, “XX Forced Unprotected Dispossessed Medical Waste” and “XX Discarded Medical Waste Contaminated Environment” and others, with similar criticism.
These articles are the yard we’ve been inspecting, and there’s some pictures I’ve seen of where the trash is.
I wrinkled my eyebrow and said to Huang, “No one of us leaked it, we didn’t take any pictures of them when they were sorted, we didn’t take any pictures, we didn’t go to some of the dumps, we didn’t go to any of them, and some of them admitted that he did it. I’m sorry.
Mr. Huang said: “It is important to keep the confidentiality of working information, which is now also available in some forums. The future work will also have to be carried out with greater secrecy and public opinion positions, which we will take if we do not occupy. I’m sorry.
“When we get back, I’ll put it back to our people. “I said to Wong.
I went back and searched the Internet, and I found out that there were some forums where medical waste was not being disposed of in an irregular manner and staff members were being exposed to infectious diseases as a result of their medical separation.
Some of the responses were highly critical, the heat was high, and the final conclusion was a pill or something, while some responses were accompanied by the same mix of external media.
A few days later, in our class in QQQ, Suaimi transferred a link to a forum called “A high incidence of infectious diseases in the border areas and the need for transparency in the national system for the prevention of disease” by criticizing the construction of environmental protection systems and our efforts to block border mountain villages, with new maps, basically our villages.
He said that “columns must be careful not to involve their families in these tasks in the future. This will certainly not happen in the United States and Australia, where there is a well-developed system for the disposal of medical waste. I believe that the State should be more open and transparent, with international environmental protection from third parties and the involvement of medical institutions, if we are to be better off. I’m sorry.
He was then provided with additional work plans for the textile warehouse, which proved that his business was very green.
Several classmates expressed envy and said it was true that the river on the side of the house was contaminated, agricultural land was contaminated and so on.
And he struck me, and said to me, “Tung, I heard you were there. Be careful.” I’m sorry.
And I returned to him in the group: “I don’t know, are these true?” I’m sorry.
“It’s not true that you can judge, but I still want you to step out of your job and remain independent. Issues should be viewed in an independent and critical manner, with more reflection in the face of problems. I’m sorry.
He has also posted messages in forums and continues to believe that our environment, our health care, is not transparent, creating problems of all kinds; he has also continued to encourage me to travel abroad and to learn about the outside world.
I then sent him a voice: “You’re telling the truth, I’m embarrassed to say it among my classmates.” But I think you made sense when you asked me to leave the country. I’m sorry.
Great! He said, “More abroad, the vision will be different, and my job invites you to think about it. Really, we all thought you were a civil servant in the mountains. I’m sorry.
I agreed at that time to tell him that I had frequent power outages in the mountains, that there was a high prevalence of poison worms, that there was no hope, and that I had never wanted to do it.
That’s not what I pretended to be. I used to complain to friends.
So Amy expressed her sympathy for me and said I’d finally learned.
So I stopped questioning Soamey, and in the group, I publicly envied his life.
So Amy said in the group, “It’s true that the board is good and good at learning. I’m sorry.
13.
Two weeks later, the Vietnamese side told us to come, me and Director Li.
Mr. Nguyen asked the interpreter to tell us that, as a result of our continued efforts, the company that came in with the garbage has already found it, but that it was not garbage, but used textiles, which we used to get information about. I’m sorry.
Then he looked at the interpreter, who told us, “It’s very difficult to get information about the business.” I’m sorry.
I know what it means, and we’re ready, and we’ve brought some famous white wine.
Nguyen Guan gave us some material, an Australian textile company called “Amica,” which I thought was familiar with, and asked, “This business is run by Chinese.” I’m sorry.
He said, “We don’t know about this, but it’s definitely Asians who work with our tax haven. I’m sorry.
I looked at a photo sent by Soomey, and his company Logo was called “Amica.”
As soon as I told Director Lee about the situation, he went to look into Soomey on the basis of the information I knew, and to find out about “Amica”.
Soon we found out everything about “Amica” and the company also exported to China some raw materials for textiles, mainly for wool processing, without any record of any violations or irregularities.
The company ‘ s main shareholder, Su, in his 50s, has been in Australia for several years, and his relatives have not been very close to him, and he was in some textile business while in China, making a lot of money, and he has a son named Suami.
Yes, my classmate.
We have further cooperated with Vietnamese customs, we have checked a number of surveillance routes, we have discovered the amount of marine garbage that flows into our mutual market, we have packed the same wrong car, and we have moved the box with the fruit in it. This is so common in the work of Vietnamese workers.
But why did he design this?
After the isolation, Mr. Liu was taken to us, and for the first time I saw him as a real person, similar to a photograph, not tall, a little thin, skeletal, a little bald.
By the time he was sent to us, he had given us most of what was to be said, and colleagues in neighbouring provinces had uncovered a larger chain of solid waste smuggling, not only prohibited clothing, waste plastics, but also old electronics, all disguised or smuggled into the country.
When he was first examined by Chief Cao, I asked him, “Who asked you to donate clothes?” I’m sorry.
He said, “The man who delivered the goods to me said that he could donate some more to me. I’m sorry.
“Intentional donation to needy children? The blogger says:
“The people who receive the donations will be disinfected…” Liu said, “I didn’t think these things would have a virus, and we had nothing to do with it.” I’m sorry.
According to the file, they handled almost 200 tons of the entire amount of marine garbage, nearly $200 million, and 12 tons, about 20 million, involving “Amica”.
However, “Amica” people are still abroad, and we decided to continue to use the arrested person’s mobile phone to return information about their contacts abroad, and Mr. Liu is willing to cooperate, and to take advantage of the increased immigration checks in Viet Nam to place the responsibility for non-admission on the Vietnamese side.
“Amica’s normal trade operations in the country remain unrestricted in order to ease their vigilance, although we have marked it by placing those responsible on the list of immigration concerns.
A few days later, Su Amy called me again and asked me, “What’s the change in Vietnamese policy now?” I heard you’re going to check the tax haven? I’m sorry.
I said, “Present interim measures, there might be a policy there, but if you return the shipment, I’ll check it out. I’m sorry.
The next day, I reported to the leader and told him, “Now that Viet Nam is really tough on Australia, you don’t have to deliver it if you don’t want to be tested. Moreover, China has stepped up its inspection of Australian raw materials, and you will note that. If you really need to get into Vietnam’s tax haven, I’ll say hello to them. I’m sorry.
So Amy thanked me, and said, “I really need someone who’s good and well known, in case of 50 years.” I’m sorry.
“Thank you, I’ll think about it. I told him.
But it looks like Soamey didn’t have anything particularly urgent because he stopped asking me about something later.
The Director of the Inspection and Quarantine Service, General Wong and I met and sat down and said, “Today’s meeting must be kept confidential.” I’m sorry.
And I said, “Spox?”
He gave us some material, saying, “No, it’s a pox virus. It’s much smaller than smallpox. It’s basically non-lethal, it’s less contagious and it’s lighter. We have information that it found in West Africa. Smallpox has disappeared for decades, and now we have no means of testing at the grass-roots level, so this has taken so long and has been repeatedly investigated. I’m sorry.
He said, “What kind of test did he leave?” I’m sorry.
Director Wei showed us the material, which was basically about the LAMP testing process, and concluded that this was an isolated incident where a shipment was contaminated.
I asked, “According factors, isolated incidents? I’m sorry.
“Yes. The seals have now been lifted, and several serious diseases are being treated. This thing turned to MSS and superiors as required. Director Wei said:
“I know, I heard, Tung, we need to follow up on the smuggling. He also says:
I said, “What are we going to do about this later?” I’m sorry.
Early detection, early isolation, early treatment, increased awareness and security of border areas. Wong said, “The rear superiors will continue to deploy. For the sake of the country ‘ s security, we and border cities should bear more sacrifices. I’m sorry.
I really didn’t like the word “sacrifice,” but the border was really deployed, and defence bars, electricity grids, watch stations, sensor cameras were built, and we had been fighting smuggling for so many years, and those infrastructures had not been repaired, and the national line had begun to repair the hard-separated infrastructure for anti-virus purposes.
I don’t think Soamey contacted me, and I was afraid there would be a break in the long run, when July was almost over, and I proposed that the captain organize his fifth graduation party in August and September.
The captain thought that there was a point. After the discussion, he published the news in the group, and I naturally responded positively and asked the captain to contact Sommy to come back.
Several of the people who were often envious of him also said they wanted him back, but he was not moving.
I proposed to Director Lee that the Vietnamese should release information to check and relax, that the arrested suspect should stop doing business with Australia on the grounds of changing environmental conditions, and then I offered Suami that I could help him work and attract him home.
Director Lee informed his superiors and agreed.
So, I told Suaimi, “Viet Nam has been checking for a month and may be ready to relax recently.” I think we can go. I’m sorry.
He continued to thank me, and I asked him, “Can you give me a detailed account of your business?” This time, if you can come back, I want to talk about my future, after all, I only have $50,000 a year. I’m sorry.
“50,000 dollars?” And he had a shocking look, and without introducing his family’s business, he said to me that he was going to talk to his family about the arrangement.
After a day of waiting, he finally said, “I’ll go back, I’ll talk to you. I’m sorry.
I guess he’s trying to communicate exactly why the contact here doesn’t want to pick up his shipment.
But I often continue to follow him in public, expressing occasionally the expectation of seeing him.
As usual, he continues to tan his life.
The time of the gathering was getting closer, the data found his entry flight, and when he arrived in Guangdong, he was controlled by his colleagues there and handed over to us.
On the first day he was brought here, I saw him in the interrogation room, and he asked me first, “Why do you do this to me? I’m not sorry about anything. I’m sorry.
I didn’t return to him, and asked him, “Why do you have to transport the virus in the country if you’re selling clothes for money? I’m sorry.
“What carries the virus? He looked up and looked at his eyes.
And I told him of the old men who had taken their clothes from the border, and of the contagious diseases. He said, “I do not know, I am here to take care of the hospital.” I’m sorry.
“There’s something wrong with the hospital! Director Li is standing next to the table, “Tell me why we’re doing this! I’m sorry.
He bowed and said, “The private epidemiological hospital in the country doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on waste. Australian friends think they can make some money to sell in the country, so I’m in touch. I’m just holding hands, not doing anything specific. I’m sorry.
“Nothing. It’s a good route. Director Li continues to say:
Suaimi continued to explain the reasons for this, saying that after the Vietnamese port of insurance, he had arranged the rest of the discharges, which were then packaged in the same form as the imported fruits, frozen products, smuggled into the border villages and hired people to sort them out — of course, as we know.
The only reason why they enter the country in the same form as ordinary goods is to prevent owners and villagers from finding out that they are hospital waste.
I said, “What are you doing with so much money?” I’m sorry.
“predominantly helping them solve these troubles of the environment, so that they can be integrated into their local circles. And he said, “My dad likes to get old and I have to get in there myself. I’m sorry.
“Why do you want to take pictures in the sun and donate them to poor kids?” Director Li continues.
“Friends of friends made it. They’re all environmental organizations. They make money when they move. The consignee here is willing to do the same. So Amy said, “But soon he lifted up his voice and said, “But I really don’t know if there’s a virus in it and a kid is sick? I’m sorry.
“No.” Commissioner Lee answered him.
When the first trial was over, So Amy asked me, “Did you really have $50,000 a year? I’m sorry.
“Yes. I’m going back to him.
He sighs.
The entire investigation had been going on for a long time and, as he had said, Suaimi ‘ s father had retired and had not paid much attention to the company, and his idea of Viet Nam.
He shared with us many of his journeys and felt that it was better abroad than at home, but his parents were not interested in participating abroad, or even in the Chinese community, or in making more money.
And he wanted to be part of the local community, and the local people let him do these things, saying that not only did he make more money, but he could reap a lot of important social benefits, and he really did get it, and he met a lot of NGO leaders, basically former dignitaries.
I saw him before he was taken to the prison, and he seemed particularly tired, and I asked him, “We have more than 40 people sick here. Have you really considered these poor mountain people?” When they’re older, they want to live a simple life. They don’t want to get sick. I’m sorry.
“I don’t know, I’ve seen a lot of poor old people abroad, and I think it’s because they didn’t work hard to get to this stage and become a social burden. But soon he said, “It’s good for children abroad.” I’m sorry.
I shook his hand, saw him get in our car, and then watched the car leave, and this was the last time I saw Soomey.
He was always in a city, with a great deal of money, and he had no idea that China and hundreds of millions of people were still living in poverty, that many people in the mountains were illiterate, that mobile phones were not used, that they could not see the disease, that even older people, who had never left the mountain in their whole lives, would have been really hard if they had been exposed to disease again.
They are all living by the care of the State, which is trying to keep them alive, not as a burden.
Moreover, I have no idea why a State can burden its own people without living long abroad.
Later, the villagers were cured, but more than 10 people left permanent marks, enough to evaluate the 10th degree of disability. They were moved by the fact that they received some subsidies and that they had replaced their living items.
After this, the villagers who trade in the border markets will check whether they carry what is indicated on the boxes, and the mutual trade is regulated.
By the time I left customs, the defence fences, the electricity grid, the observation counter, the sensor cameras at the border customs had largely been completed and there had been no further entry of the marine garbage virus. A well-developed programme of anti-virus transmission has been developed throughout the border to ensure that all types of viruses entering the border are not affected in the interior.
Customs has launched Operation Green Fence, which is dedicated to the fight against all kinds of marine garbage, and has largely eliminated the smuggling of such waste.
Some of the occasional distributions are mostly made by Chinese using their own relationships. Furthermore, the sentence for the offence of smuggling solid waste has been increased.
However, the problem of garbage is still often reported in foreign media, which is known as environmental protection. Several village seals were fired from abroad for a period of time, but later they went to other things.
Suaimi was sentenced to four years and was said to have repented in court and to have cried, saying that he had no knowledge of the consequences of the smuggling of marine garbage, especially the virus, and that he had a mental problem.
I am sure he is sincere, because he may not have known the lives of ordinary people at the border before this.
Mr. Liu, his relatives and Wei Suh-ho have been sentenced for “smuggling solid waste” for a total of 10 people ranging from 1 to 6 years, and a major chain of smuggling of marine garbage has been completely eliminated.
When the verdict was handed down, the villagers at the border ran away and cheered.
Many have always said that, fortunately, this was not the case.
And I, after that, left our class and, until now, did not join our classmates. And until many years later, I didn’t think I’d get half a million.
I know what some people say behind my back that I use the trust of my classmates.
But I have always felt in my heart that some people, in order to integrate into the so-called new country, will eventually be rewarded for their heinous deeds to their homeland.
Moreover, I later learned that even though the people of the south-west border were suffering, they were still guarding the country in the face of infectious diseases.
Perhaps it is worth remembering the names of the small border towns that many people have never heard of in their lives, such as Dong-hing, Rui Li, the mouth of the river, Tianbao, Kim Ping, Yanla, Zhuang, Yong Bang, and so on, as well as, of course, the border crossings of over a hundred smaller villages, and remember those who guard the country at the south-west border.
